The HoloNet transmission fades in, a decisive smile forming on the new anchor's face. He seems to be putting on a brief show for the camera as someone off screen, obviously without a microphone, counts down from three. Finally, his smile fades.

"Hi and welcome to HoloNet News Service, I am Kreed Alcor and I am here with tonight's news bulletin.

"First we are pleased to report a sudden upheavel in Sienar Fleet Systems product output. Apparently it derives from the new attempted Nebulan G Frigate project which we are not allowed to indulge too much of."

A picture appears on the top right hand corner of the screen.

"Though we were not given sufficient statistical data it is safe to assume this new project will surely create a great lead in military sales, and Maverick Munitions Inc. is already placing a major purchase order on this merchandise."

After a few more moments, the anchorman turns to face another holovid camera, this time he is shuffling through piles of flimsiplast.


"As you can see the battle started in space, where the comandeered IDTech craft turned on the peaceful negotiators, the death toll is uncountable at this time, but it is assumed a some fifteen thousand dead from battle ship demolitions. Our hearts go with those caught in those explosions.


"After securing the atmosphere, and seeing as the Hapan and Tholatin Republic craft cannot arrive in time, the IDTech soldiers quickly moved in an attempt to knock out agricultural and medicinal targets. Twenty two are dead and countless are wounded from these strikes.


"We have gotten a shot from our archives of the main IDTech building, we are unconfirmed whether this is an accurate shot, but from our reports it fits the persona of Heir Raktus. We do solemnly pray for those trapped on Danoz as Rogue Imperial ships from the Bespin system move to intercept."

A new image breaks the static, the logo of the Galactic Defence Initiative. It is quickly replaced by the Supreme Commander, standing at a podium in front of a crowd of reporters and other military persons

People of the galaxy. The truth behind Heir Raktus' attack has been released, and the Galactic Defence Initiative refuses to stand for this action.

This action is condemed by the Galactic Defence Initiative, and on behalf of the free peoples of the galaxy we urge everyone to cease their dealins with IDT.

Continued actions such as these will be met with full resistance by the Galactic Defence Initiative Armed Forces. We will not allow these acts of mass murder to go unpunished.

The peoples of THC and TTR will be avenged. Heir Raktus has made himself an enemy today. Be warned: cease and desist your hostilities or be destroyed.
