Im sure you might be happy that I got a new PC, a 2003 Sony Vaio, a step or 3 up from my HP Hewlett Packard Pavalion. Thats the good news.

Bad news is, its laying in pieces in my closet as a spare. And the 1500 to 2000 word post I was writing for the merger thread is stored in it. I wasnt planning on buying a new PC (was a spur-of-the-moment thing) and didnt save the post onto a floppy. Its gonna take a few more days for me to rewrite it again, and thats if I remember everything I that was in it.

Im sorry. I only remembered that when I remembered how much @#%$ I have to get back on this PC that is still on my HP.

I was gonna try networking them, but Ken said it wont work without a network adapter.

Cant. Already thought of that.

The connectors for my HP are different on my Vaio. My new printer even hooks up different. Had to use the USB cord from my external CD Burner for my new printer to hook to my Vaio.

Which reminds me...I sent out that payment I promised for the BDE Chest...but its only $35...that will give us $60, which should last til next tax returns, hopefully.

How many pieces are we talking about here? I would just take the old hard drive and put it in the new computer as a slave, thus giving you access to all your old files, and access to a second hard drive.

That would be the computer.

I thought you meant the actual PC was in pieces. Well, this way just take the tower out and plug it into your existing monitor and wall socket, write the RP to a 3.5" floppy, and then stash it away again.
