Ah Simon!

Yeah, i did in fact. Pretty sweet, although since i'm lacking a rulebook i'm still trying to grasp the subtleties of serious gameplay. On easy as is i can win easily as Empire, but whenever i enter a battle as the rebs that i myself could win, i always get defeated if i auto resolve.

If anyone had any SWR tips they'd be much appreciated.

But yeah, cheers for sending it, its sucked up what little spare time i have had when not doing work or procrastinating heavily by cleaning my room or doing washing!

We'll need to catch up too about apparitions, among many other things it would seem!

Build Construction Yards. Get one or two planets filled up with nothing but Construction Yards. Build SYs, and Barracks, get the planets filled up with nothing but SYs, and Barracks. After you've done this, let the droid automanage your resources, and just build up your fleet from there. Oh, also recruit as many people as possible, and assign as many as you can to research.

Heh, I remember one glorious game where I had a Death Star blow up one planet, only to have 10 more join the side of the Rebels. And then there was the time I had an awesome fleet of three Executors, six ISDs, ten Escort Carriers, and craploads of TIE Defenders.

I always cane research to the fullest, as well as recruitment. I'm still trying to figure out the best ways to handle and deal with espionage. I generally let them automanage production from the start, but that also means that generally in my production centres i have too many resource buildings and not enough producing ones. I wish there was ways to limit the powers of that annoying as droid so that he cannot automanage production on my main planets...
