I can't use AIM because of the spy-ware stuff, I can't use my avatar (little picture on the left) because Angelfire shut me down and I don't know any other way to get pictures on the net.

For the Avatar, that's easy. Sign up for an user account on the Anthos board, and use the link in the upper right hand corner called 'My PFS'. You can upload images there, and link to them here.

This trillian thing only seems to work if you're logged on to AIM.
And having AIM was the problem in the first place!

Probably.
Trillian comes complete with a Connection Manager, and depending on which version of Trillian you managed to grab, may not allow you to connect to ICQ and AIM at the same time... Not sure if that helps at all.
Use your Connection Manager to fill in the info about any previous IM prog's you may have had. It's really quite easy once you get the hang of it.
