OOC: This thing's a duel, but in Fighters basically. Fighter vs. fighter--no Capital Ships. Join!!!

The cool streaky lines of hyperspace were invisible to Darth Poreon. He sat inside the cockpit of a brand new TIE Defender Special Edition. This souped up version of the TIE Defender employed digital sensor screens to display soothing facades on the cockpit windows of the TIE Defender. Poreon could toggle between stored HoloNet shows, serene jungle waterfalls of Yavin IV or even the beauty of a supernova gone quasar in the Maw.

Of course, this could all be switched off in a second to see the real-time display of space. But for now, Poreon sat back in his plush leather seat and watched the latest game of Speed Ball from Coruscant. Those damn Blasters were losing again to the Troopers!

The TIE Defender lurched in space and immediately slowed down. It felt like falling a thousand meters only to be suddenly snapped back up by a bungee cord. The telescreen in cockpit flashed off and reverted to the image of real time realspace.

Slightly off to port was an Interdictor Cruiser, and all ready it had jammed communications. Poreon began powering up his Twin ION Engines, shields and weapons as a lone E-Wing fell out of the belly of the Interdictor. Poreon tightened the crashwebbing on his chair.

Through the warble of scrambled transmissions, the message from the E-Wing came and identified itself as a Rogue Jedi Order snubfighter. Thinking of the political mess the two opposing factions could get themselves in gave Poreon shivers. Even if he could reply to transmission, Poreon would have not surrendured. No, only one choice was viable for the Sith Lord of the Naboo Sith Order: Fight.

Chances were that the Interdictor cruiser would have more fighter pilots and guns available to dispose, and chances were that they would dispose them to reel in the TIE Defender. Luckily for the Sith Lord, that would not be happening. It would be a fair dog fight.

As the E-Wing approached and the gap between the two closed, Poreon barrel rolled his snubfighter down and below the peculiar looking enemy spacecraft. From this vintage point, Poreon could see the underbelly of the E-Wing. RJO markings covered up the bombing payloads (that housed Proton bombs for strafing runs).

Gripping the pilot's yoke in his hand, Poreon thumbed the weapons control and set it to laser cannons, dual fire. He pulled on the red trigger and watched his monitors as a streak of green lasers splashed harmlessly off of the underbelly shields of the E-Wing.

Poreon accelerated away, having shot the opening shots of this skirmish. He looped his fighter tightly back around and set up for a head on pass against the Fighter. Rapidly, Poreon began firing his lasers.

The E-Wing was coming from above, and it was coming fast. Red laser bolts lanced out of the RJO fighter and were met with the static energy topside of the Defender's shields. The shields held long enough for Poreon to make an evasive roll out of the E-Wing's line of sight. Poreon goosed a bit more power into the shields as it wouldn't be long before the fast E-WIng was able to manuever back around into position... of course, that power came from the extra luxury systems on the TIE Defender.

Poreon did not try to get behind the E-Wing, he just kept running from it with loose evasive manuevers. Focusing his attention more to the Force than flying, Poreon felt the nimble E-Wing slip into his sphere of influence. He gave it a little shove through the Force and felt it buckle. He gave a harder shove, which was focused on the left wing-foil to the fighter.

OOC: Not at all.

"Holy @#%$! Where'd that other Sith come from?!"

<font color=gray>Arrix heard his left wing groan and knew instantly the TIE Pilot was a Sith, and a strong one at that. He swerved out of the way of incoming fire from the Sith Infiltrator and tried to escape the knawing at his left wing.</font>

"Come on baby. Hold together."

<font color=gray>Arrix quickly opened an open comm channel except to the Infiltrator and the Defender.</font>

"This is Rogue Jedi Knight and member of the Rogue Jedi Order Navy Arrix Stryker. Any god damn decent man enough to help me out here please respond! I'm outnumbered in a dogfight with a TIE Defender and a Sith Infiltrator!"

<font color=gray>Now is not the time to panic, Arrix thought to himself as he closed the comm. He banked left and turned towards the incoming Infiltrator, trying to ignore the groan in his left wing. He jerked the throttle back and sped straight for the Infilrator, opening up with everything he had, some of the shots were out-manuevered, but most of them bounced off the ship's shields, significantly weakening them. Just as it seemed they were going to crash, Arrix switched hs momentum on the throttle and went into a dive, opening fire on the TIE Defender. It seemed to eat up whatever hit it and out-manuever the rest.</font>

"I gotta get me one of those."

"I can't get room to breathe with that Sith Infiltrator on my back."

<font color=gray>Arrix jerked his throttle to the right and went into a climb. He barrel-rolled as he straightened up and dove down at the Infiltrator, firing his lasers, unable to get a missile lock at the angle. He turned left and ran straight into the fire of the Defender, quickly turning again so no more damage could be inflicted upon his fighter.</font>

"Come on. Come on. Someone has to respond to that call sooner or later. Let's hope I'm still here when they do."

<font color=gray>He turned his E-Wing to face the Infiltrator and Defender, pondering at the best approach. He didn't have much time to think about it though because the enemy fighters soon started towards him.</font>
