Strip Tease For Me, Baby / Tie Me To The Bed, Dear
I bought Archie this game for Christmas and it has no tutorial, none online, no walkthroughs or anything that really explains the way to play the game to you... any one here played it? Archie hasn't tried to play it yet but I have and I'm lost.

Back with a Vengeance

Kneel Before Zod!
Sorry, I never moved beyond Civ II. That game rocked.
If Archie played the older versions, let us know what he thinks how III compares (should he play it)?
BTW: How did your house hunting fare?

thanks Kraken
Archie hasn't played any of the Civ games but I saw Pirates by the same maker and knew he'd like that one but I just grabbed Civ because it was marked down if I got them together... Pirates is darned fun :-D but Civ was driving me crazy by not letting me attack invaders till they attacked me...
we've moved in, still have maybe a truck load or two to bring out, mostly books but we moved in Christmas Eve to stay
even have a kitty named Dillon now, he's a Hemingway cat

Jedi Masterwan ... ... Shaken, Not Stirred
I know a cat named Hemingway...
I'm playing Civ IV right now and really loving it, loving the playability, loving the strategy, blah blah blah.
I played Civ II: Alpha Centauri and Civ III both when I was much younger and I probably wasn't very good at them but they were fun. Kraken is right to refer you to civfanatics.com, I use that site alot.

When boredom becomes extreme, my roommates and I have LANed with Civ IV on several occasions, which is super fun. I played Civ II Test of Time when I was younger, hard to say which one I like better.

I do like the game, it's the kinda kingdom builder I enjoy, it's just little things like not being able to attack and trying to figure out how my neighbors are making so many soldiers without making the worker who bring in all that money... AND how to stop my cities from defaulting to making spearman who cost gold I don't have...

Bounty Hunter
A Hemingway?
For those of you who don't know cats, who lack feline knowledge, or are otherwise kitty ignorant; a "Hemingway" cat is properly called a Polydactyl Cat. These are cats with certain genetic mutations which are a common trait and distinguish them from other breeds (though any breed can be a polydactyl) such as six toed paws and so forth. They are so called because Ernest Hemingway had a soft spot for these felines.
Damalis; as a fellow felinite, I expect you to post pictures of your new furry friend so I can Ooooh and Awww at him, her or it (intact?) post haste.
Also, Zeus, our little Ocicat was just... ahem... fixed (although the term should probably be "broken" given the business of it) and it was quite an ordeal. He reacted badly to the sedative, the Vet kept him overnight for observation (hard on the little guy, being an in-door and largely ignorant of the outside world) and then preformed the surgery today. Poor little (former) lad.

I called him a Hemingway cat because I figured it needed less explaination heh
It's been rough for Dillon lately too
he came from the shelter with coccidia and he was just back at the vets this morning for his second emergency visit. But we made one of the shelter ladies cry by calling to ask what kind of food he used to eat there instead of calling to yell at her and bring him back. Apparently most people will return an animal that comes from the SPCA if it's sick..
I'll post pics in a moment... he's an orange tabby with white paws and chest... he also has a white mustache that's very cute. He's a great cat, the only cat I've ever had who didn't hide when we brought him home and was instantly attached to everyone in the house.. now if he can just leave our parakeet alone...

Dillon
we thought about changing his name but we hadn't thought of anything by the time he had his emergency trip to the vet so he went into their files as Dillon, so Dillon he stays... I tend to call him Dilly or Dillyweed most times..
