So, a few days ago, my girlfriend accidentally knocked my laptop off a table, and now it is broken. I have tried to fix it, with some success; however, the internet connections appear to have been completely jarred up/destroyed, along with CD-DVD drive.

Unsurprisingly, this means I'm internetless for the most part; sorry guys, I know a few of you and I are in the process of talking/discussing some things. I'll try to figure out ways to normalize our communications.

This also means that I need to go computer shopping. Does anyone know of any with particularly hard casing? (It wasn't the first time she managed to knock it down...)

Anywho, unless you're willing to spend alot? Not really. There's secure cases and so forth but they're expensive. Your best hope would be to get a Dell with that full warranty where you could piss on the thing and they'd still replace it.

Cheaper, and not heavy. Win.

I considered that, but then I remember how many times she knocks off her own laptop off the table. I'm back, and I've pretty much have cobbled back my computer, and got a little help from some engineering friends in fixing the wireless.
