The first episode was okay. A solid 6.5 out of 10.
It started too abruptly, no real introduction or time to get immersed in the events, but it is a TV show after all and there is only so much you can do in 22 minutes.
I enjoyed the perspective of the clones, and how Yoda regards them counterbalanced against Ventress and her apparent disregard for her troops. A classic good versus bad dynamic. Although, with droids that dumb it's a wonder the Separatist army can form rank and file, never mind conducting advanced battle tactics.
And I agree, Corise. It has the feel of a show directed at a much younger audience but it keeps enough of that Star Wars feel to entice the older generation of fans. But that seems very symptomatic of the franchise these days - leaving the original fans betrayed while trying to pander to a newer, younger crowd.
