The Rebel Faction

Over the past few days, I have had an interesting time taking stock of myself and my life, and have been giving a great deal of thought to who I am and what I have been doing. In the course of doing so, I have come to realize that as of late, and probably for a good long while, my style of writing has changed.

When I first started writing, when I first came to TRF, I wrote because it was fun to do so, and because I enjoyed doing so. However, suffice to say that is no longer the case. I am ashamed to admit that my writing as of late was written more to please others than it was to please me.

I wrote simply to hear the words of praise that others would heap upon me, and because I felt obligated to do so. My hobby of writing has become more of a self-satisfying addiction or habit than of a fun hobby, something I enjoy and take great pleasure in doing.

Therefore, I have come to announce that for the time being, I will no longer be doing any writing, until at least I can find what happened to my old self, and see if I can bring him back.

Of course the keys are in the last place you look, who keeps looking for their keys after they already found them?
