In Star Wars: Tempest (Legacy)...

Jacen Solo turns a turbo-laser blast (from his own Star Destroyer) on the Millennium Falcon. In a stroke of brilliance, the blast strikes the Falcon mid-ships, incinerates the turrets and passes clean through the Falcon.

Something to think about, all you hardcore fleeters who believe that 1+1 must always = 2.

That sentance doesn't make any sence.

In a stroke of brilliance, the blast strikes the Falcon mid-ships, incinerates the turrets and passes clean through the Falcon.

The blast was brilliant? Should I be asking where I can meet this blast?

fuck that duck
If we took into account the canon of what every author did, I think all of our ships would spontaneously combust. Very few of these guys have any idea what they're talking about, and all of them seem to make it up instead of following any kind of established rule...

All sarcasm aside, what Beff means is that we don't have to treat every battle like a game of Star Wars Rebellion, where every single turbolaser blast hits a target, and every single hit is somewhere vital, thus crippling or destroying the ship, etc etc.

What Beff means is that all you hard-core, hard-liner types that like to cite reference material to support your tactics In Character and fleet-wise, need to consider the above as food for thought.

Demos: You're probably right - the only difference is here we're talking about an author authorized and licensed to write 'Star Wars'. But that has never stopped you and others from grabbing at quotes, citing the genre. And if you're gonna do that...

What Beff is doing is mentioning published material for the benefit of the community; take it as you will.
