Kneel Before Zod!
I hope you are not expecting your ESD to be an active partipant in fleeting. If you are just making it up, it will not be considered active but simply a storyline vehicle. You cannot simply make up planets that have canon resources (ie: bacta, Jedi gems, etc..) and you cannot simply pull out "long lost assets" to be used in fleeting or be considered in support of fleeting. I believe Titus also made the remark that we (TRF) have exhausted the storylines of finding old Imperial super weapons.

If your rp is referring to that ESD produced at TRF during the course of the game (I believe it was called, however, the Jenova and not the Guardian), it was considered lost at the Battle of Bastion. I do not remember if it is explicitly stated but the Battle of Bastion took place in the Transitions rp which was the IC account of our OOC fleet restart. Every group had to scrap their ships and start over.

Just FYI.

Those crystals for lightsabers and stuff.. I was also throwing in Stygian crystals (for cloaks) as well... sort of a catch all word.

Not saying Corise is doing that but thought to throw it in for any newbies out there.

I talked to Dolash and Beff about this before I started the thread. I was referring to the old New Republic Guardian, which is a canonical ship. I also looked and searched and did not find it in any TRF threads. I was under the impression from Dolash that I could use it in fleeting. Beff didn't tell me I couldn't do it either.

If not, then it will simply remain immobile within the Fyre Sola system and act as a space station with no weapons or anything useful in a fleeting engagement.

EDIT: Om, I think this is what you are referring to. But does the exception rule stated by Beff apply to this situation?

I originally heard the idea from someone else (I think it was Kach or Kraken, can't remember which for sure) so I figured it'd be okay. If that is not the case, however, then it's simply not the case and Corise's backup plan of using it as a station seems reasonable.

fuck that duck
Wouldn't the canon Guardian not even exist in our timeline, though?
[size=1]"So the woman asked me what I wanted on the sandwich and I said I do not care it is for a duck, and she was like oh then it's free. I was not aware that ducks eat for free at Subway. It's like give me a chicken fajita sub, but don't worry about ringing it up, it is for a duck.”

Much like Dolash, I first heard of this idea floating around in the Imperial camp.

And I was rightly denied in my attempt to secure an eclipse by the staff.

So thanks, Kach - you killed David Carradine!

"What? What? Where are the nipples?" enters Seth Vinda.

"NIF. But I will find them! I am god like that." Kach Thorton speaks up.

Ok. First, you find an obscure metal employed in canon a thousand years ago and suddenly create an abundant source on your new faction's starting world for mining as a usable resource for fleeting. Second, I seem to remember you saying something about trying to claim that the canon resource bacta is now being produced on one of your worlds like Thyferra. I don't know if you went through with this or not but this is not something that is allowed at TRF.

People cannot simply claim canon resources were suddenly discovered in their backyard. Rare materials cannot suddenly be found in ample quantity outfitting everything from fleets to a gundark's chew-toy from now till doomsday.

Now, you are pulling old canon references of individual ships as if they somehow survived the entirety of TRF history? The reason you will not find references to these individual warships at TRF because in this game, when the New Republic faction joined the Gungan Council and later The Rebel Faction, you could not simply join with a host of every ship canon allotted to you. They had to build their fleet from the ground up as all groups had to do.

So what's next after the Guardian? The Lusankya (since there was no Yuuzhan Vong war at TRF)?

No...no..no...no!

The Staff doesn't even let you use canon characters without solid permission because the player must take into account that some of a character's canon life has not happened and/or will be altered by TRF history.

There is no Suncrusher floating in some gas giant because Carida is still around which would mean that good ol' Kyp would not have stolen it!

One thing that confused me is your use of the term: ESD. In TRF, this means Eclipse Class Star Destroyer. The Executor Class Star Destroyer at TRF is termed: SSD (for Super Star Destroyer).

Yes, I was thinking of that instance you linked but there have been other requests to have a SSD or ESD as a storyline vehicle and as a starting point for a particular group. We deny certain groups' request because of several reasons; one being that the group itself is not equipped to support and service a starship of that size and two, the group is just starting out with one planet and one planet cannot support a ship of this size. We also deny the group of a storyline vehicle because we feel, in the end, they will attempt to make the ship a fleet asset once they think the staff has forgotten about it. If we won't let a playable group with one planet have an SSD, what makes you think we will allow one NPC planet to service and support an SSD? That is what you are asking us to buy in your rp isn't it?

If I say yes, the ship can be a storyline vehicle, I mean that it cannot be used in fleet action. However, you also threw in the part about the ship being used as a base/spacestation around the planet (a station presumably 8000m, 12500m or 19000m depending). I hate that you tack on these other requirements so that I have to spell everything out rather than just giving a yes/no response.

Yes, it can be a storyline vehicle. Yes, it can be an immovable, immobile (for eternity) station around the planet. Even if you mention it is armed, reinforced, or whatever in subsequent stories, it will not affect an enemy's fleet should that planet get attacked. And before you get in a huff about this (should you get in a huff thinking you are being picked on), remember that the TSO has a similar arrangement with their 30000m storyline warship in orbit around XaFel in an agreement made by the TRF staff and Darth Poreon years ago.
