I was just looking over the Planets list earlier today, and noticed one of my worlds changed from a VC embassy to a Commonwealth one. I was going to edit my post there to inquire about it, but as that particular thread is no discussion... here I am :-). I know I'm fairly absent about these things, but I didn't know the Commonwealth was an official OOC entity yet....

Is that considered a Merger? If so was there an OOC proposal thread I missed? Or is that not necessary anymore under the new rules?

I'm not trying to stir anything up or accuse anything of anyone, asking out of curiosity and my own self interest for obvious reasons...

Pffft, no wonder I missed it, I was wondering if there was an OOC Application for it.... It started almost 2 years ago.... I would never have noticed, lol

Not really Heir, there is no rule saying we need to tell anyone of anything we have planned in that regard.

This really is no new thing Heir, I'm a little surprised you've only just queried this now, I mean Genesis was ongoing for like 2 years, lol...

Regardless, you obviously feel like we're doing something underhand (?) or something to that effect, or else you wouldn't be concerned.

I have to confess actually, I did not realise it had been changed, but obviously the change was to signify the political change taking place upon Bonadan, and the CS in general.

Vc is no longer a government, the CW has replaced it.

Vc is still a private enterprise, but nothing more.

Really its the same thing, just a different name, as far as the embassy goes.

If you are against this, then, we can work something out.

Actually you did Seth, the old rules (And I say old rules becuase I don't know if there was ever a change) stated you had to submit to the OOC forum a post applying for a merger, stated assets and a sizeable thread linked that then needed to be approved by some number of staff members. I realize 2 out 2 active staff members were involved in the mergers, but I dont think that belays the need to follow the rule.

And honestly, I am seriously not accusing anyone of anything underhanded. I have nothing against the VC, Hapes or Capricia IC or OOC. Merging affects me in no way beyond having something to read at somepoint. I never noticed it was going on becuase I never saw that OOC thread, which is the only reason I brought it up.
