Michael: She's already expecting it... so no worries there. I mean, she already has an idea of the "wedding date" she wants... March 18th will be the anniversary of our first date so I wanted to propose close to that day if not on that day for... symmetry reasons I suppose...lol.

Titus: I suppose the correct way to propose is to do so in such a way that she says "yes".
And to avoid saying things like, "umm.. you know that question...umm... I'm askin it.." or "So marriage. You wanna?"
The ring is not going to be the expensive part as she does not want an expensive engagement ring. She wants to spend her (see: my) money on a wedding ring. Since she is angling for a relatively short engagement period, the ring doesn't have to be like super rich or anything. (she is not one of those women who expect to wear the engagement and wedding ring together in a set... which I thought was cheesy but brilliant selling point for ring retailers worldwide).. I've got her ring size so I am doing searches locally but also online as well. I have a pretty good idea of what she likes.
We talk just about everything so she's already asking me about where to have the wedding, etc..
She'll sometimes just out of the blue ask me what I am thinking and at lunch yesterday I said I was thinking about Dolash's post where he wants to kneel in front of Simon Kaine to stop the attacking and said I was thinking about what to ask for.... she mentioned that one of the things should be a number of High Ranking Coalition Leader's children (gotta love her devious mind).
