The Rebel Faction

Logan stumbled back and felt around behind him. Finding a chair, he slumped down into it. The room was swirling around him. He couldn't focus...or concentrate on anything.

Who was this woman and why did she have the same name as him. Was she his daughter? close reletive he never knew of. Joren Logan had been a child of three. A brother and a sister. But as far as he knew, both of his siblings were dead. And they had had no offspring.

But why did this woman look so familiar? What was happening to him?

"Brother...?" He managed to get out.

Logan stared at her.

"How can this be possible?" He said. "Keira...she was never pregnant...I never had any children"

But then the cold truth hit him as he thought back twenty years ago.

He had gone to Myrkr to establich a garrison there for The New Alliance. He had been gone 11 months. He realized that his wife must have become pregnant juts before he left. 9 months later she had given birth, to twins. A month later, she had been killed in a fire. A month after that, Logan had returned to Almania.

Now, as he stared at Alissa, he felt sad. He had not been there when his wife needed him. He had not been there during her pregnancy...he had not witnessed the birth of his children. And he had not been able to save her from that fire.

"Take me to the child" He finally said.

Logan turned to her.

"I'm sorry" Was all he said to her. He then swiftly pulled his blaster out and fired at the assassin droid three times, destroying it. He then covered Alissa.

"Mahk" He said.

The small grey-skinned being slipped through the door and stunned Lis with his blaster. He then caught her as she fell and hoisted her over his shoulder.

Logan went over and shot the protocal droid, destroying it as well. The child looked afraid of him. Logan holstered his blaster and reached out.

"Come on Bren. I am going to take you to mommy" He said.

When he said this Bren, still slightly afraid, crawled up into his arms.

Then he and Mahk walked out of the room and back to the shuttle.

"Oh ho! Now <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> that<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> was original, Kid."

The next thing Alissa felt was Jai's hard fist belt her one smack dab on her jaw.

"You low down, no good, batha spit puddle...did you really think you could steal my kids and get away with without a good, ol' fashioned Corellian arse whoopin'?"

"Is it customary to be tied, helpless, to a chair as you do this? Or can you not hit free-range targets, Solo?"

Jai wasn't surprized that the woman knew her name, but she was pissed at what she said. "Oh you've done it now, Pirate."

Jai jerked off her vest and threw it on the ground, then she walked behind Alissa and untied her. "There, now...stand up and fight. You asked it, Kid."

The next thing Jai knew was the pirate woman was standing over her and she had the taste of blood in her mouth...a busted lip no doubt. Jai shook her head to try and regain her wits.

"Had enough, Solo? Or are you up for more?"

Jai looked up at the woman coldly as she raised up on her elbows, "Aw, shut up."

"We only took the sniveling brats to get to you. We were going to return them...eventually."

Lis smiled almost evily at the two kids, and sneered as Jai held them close and with motherly protection.

"And there is no telling what Alden will do. My plan was to take you on board our ship, so you two could talk. But now? Now that you've captured <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> me<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->? All frell is going to break loose."
