I saw brick the other day and almost vomited at its artsy indie presentation. They butchered a perfectly good story with such a pitiful vocabulary and cliche'd angles that it almost made me cry. And I really wanted to like the movie too.

Also saw Casino Royal in a sold-out theater not twenty minutes ago. Great movie, stellar for a Bond flick. A few plot holes and more fake endings than EP II, but that can be ignored.

Wait, the new Bond flick is out? And I wasn't told? What is this?

Yeah, I'm going to see it in a few hours. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Saw the Bond movie tonight. He does a good Bond after all. Perhaps not as suave as usual... but more believable. And they are his early days after all.

I will say that if your not a reader of the comic books this would be a pretty good movie, but as a reader of the comics who is engaged to a collector of the comics from way back, this movie blew. They changed SO much, and NOT for the good either. The changes they made kills their chance for sticking with any of the original story lines in the comics, which were pretty darn ingrossing.

So yeah, didn't really like....

We have Nacho Libre rented so I'll be telling you soon what I think of it.

I knew Craig would make a great Bond.

I just watched Jackass 2 out of curiousity since the previews look hilarious. Though there were disgusting points, it was pretty funny watching them get the shit kicked out of themselves.

I felt much the same way but it was also the best they could do in three movies to get the characters they wanted together quickly. It's hard to get decades of written X-Men history into approx. six hours of film. I did enjoy watching them still.

Has anyone seen City of Men? I really really want to see it. Might snake away later tonight to catch the last showing.

Children of Men, I think. Me and my ladyfriend camri are going to go see it (hopefully) this friday.

She's got high expectations because of the edgy main focus, I've got high expectations because on the trailer, in every scene, something was blowing up or someone was fighting.

Actually, I just hope it doesn't have some stupid George-Bush-is-the-devil hidden message. I've got high expectations, though...because if they can link george bush to infertility, these guys deserve to insult him.

In all seriousness, for real-real this time, I'm looking forward to this movie.

I also heard Night At the Musuem was hilarious, and Happy Feet was utter mushy touchy-feely crap.
