I agree to the following, no fighter losses, minor damage to the Reign and Python being destroyed. And I see where you said to plot a course out.

Heir/Kraken:In the X-wing books(Rogue Squadron) it talks about making the run up to hyperspace-speeding up at sublight speed before jumping into hyperspace.

So I still think that you couldn't retreat.

Meanwhile all actual space engaement simulators you only need about 4 seconds to jump to hyper. In the newer ones you don't need any.
