Corise blinked. Dozens of old holo-documentaries that his father had taken during the Clone Wars came to life. The flashing sabers of the likes of Obi-wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, and another dozen came to mind. Mentally, he remembered his father telling him that he, the scion of the House of Lucerne, could never be like Obi-wan. A ghastly viseage of Kenobi flared into his mind, in complete regalia. The robes,of course. The robes that the Serendivius officers are wearing do resemble those of the Jedi to some extent. But it's unlikely that they all are Jedi given their numbers at my table. Which means that a Jedi likely has or had a place of influence in the Serendivius hierarchy at one time; or at least they are admiring or emulating the Jedi. The younger Lucerne coyly smiled.
"When I was a boy, I remember watching many holos from my father's collection, whether they be tours of faraway places or some holo series that my mother was fond of as a young adult. But I must say that my favorite were those films taken by my father, when he fought alongside the Jedi during the Clone Wars. I must say that their fighting prowess always impressed me, but perhaps their philosophy impresses me more, that which I know of, naturally. With that sort of power in their hands, it takes a great will and a noble personality to become a true Jedi. It is truly a pity that there are not more in the galaxy."
He took a sip of his drink. Do I tell her? Yes, I do. What harm could it really do? It is not as if she could ever be in league with the Imps, given how the Empire has treated her constituents. The Rear-Admiral lowered his glass to the flat, marble table.
"Blunt truth be told, ma'am, the Confederation, in a sense, has, shall we say, a light, secret. Our intelligence branch, CSIS, has several people who follow the lightside path of the Force. They are the Jensaarai, and if you would like, I can arrange for you to meet them. As a Dark Jedi is to the Jedi, so are the Jensaarai to the Sith; they're only opposite sides of their beliefs of the Force, but they share some common cultural background. This is a state secret, but I figure it will do you no harm to know that when they are not on missions, they are training in an old Jedi Academy on Almas."
