Naosha could only stare at Rissonik and the report. “He’s not going to react very well to this is he?” She finally asked.

“He never really bonded with those two, so I’m not sure.” Rissonik said. “But what I do know is that he won’t take too well to being targeted for something like this.”

“The Miknaks?”

“It doesn’t seem ‘like’ them, though Lavality would know better. Tiosk is a Vice Admiral yes, but striking at you or someone else on the Council would be more effective. I think this is a personal strike against him…”

“But why? Tiosk can be a pain but I don’t see him as having any real enemies….”

“I wish I knew…” Rissonik said. “Either way, someone needs to get word of this up to him on the station.”

When Trazu heard Lavality’s request he chuckled and told the warriors he would deliver that prisoner himself. After fetching the man he brought him to the room. “The kids had some fun with him when he was captured.” He explained, having to fight to not burst out laughing again.

Meanwhile Silliss just got word of his two half brother’s deaths. He was in shock. “Why them…” He muttered as Varcanna tried to comfort him. “They weren’t anyone really important…”

Varcanna looked at the news report and came to the same conclusion as Rissonik did. Considering their recent discussion, Varcanna worried about Silliss’ near future. “Silliss…whomever these people are that did this…I
fear they may be finished ‘bidding their time’….”

To her slight surprise, Silliss nodded. “If they come for me…I am not going to just lay down and take it…I’ll go down fighting.”

Varcanna could only smile: those were the words of a true K’Satikur warrior.

Rissonik noticed Lavality come out of the room, looking satisfied. “It appears you got some things you wanted out of that one.” He said with a faint smile, but that faded quickly. “I have some grave news however…” He said. “While you were interrogating the prisoners word came out on the news that two of Tiosk’s sons were killed. The manner of which is suspicious in our eyes and we feel was assassination. Those two boys were of minor noble houses and not logical targets, beyond them being the Vice Admiral’s progeny. Either way, we don’t feel the Miknaks were responsible for this, directly anyway. Regardless, word of his son’s death need to reach him and you have the better means to get it to him.

“We fear Tiosk may be next, but word of his son’s demise will be enough to put him on his guard.” Rissonik added. “Besides that…did you find out anything that could be of interest to us?”

“Since you were targeted as well you have every right to investigate the matter.” Rissonik said. “But it should be done under T’Doshok law. That said, if we can get any details on this ‘councilor’ the prisoner mentioned, like gender, we can narrow the possibilities down.”

“There are not many female Councilors for instance.” Naosha put in. “It would also help if the prisoner knew if it was an Elder Councilor or not. The question though is whether or not this person is a ‘real’ Councilor ornot: smart councilors don’t make the habit of wearing the official robes when not actually going to a Council.”

“Plus non-Elder Councilors only usually meet four times a year and the next one is not for another month” Rissonik added. “If this person is a real Councilor, then he or she is either very full of himself or just got back from or about to go a meeting.”

“There was an Elder meeting yesterday.” Naosha said grimly. “And none of the others were acting ‘suspiciously’, but then again, this individual could be a very good actor. Caution will be needed.”

“This is already reminding me of how we had to figure out which Elders were on our side back in the Separatist days…” Rissonik sighed. “Any other tidbits we need to know?”

“A female…” Naosha said with a sigh. “Well that does narrow down the possibilities by quite a bit.”

“There’s only two other female Elders right love?” Rissonik asked.

“Yes, and not many more of the non-Elders.” Naosha confirmed. “Of the Elder ones I know Elder Councilor Shissa fairly well and doubt she’s the traitor: the other one keeps to her self a lot.”

“Best not to take chances love.” Rissonik said. “Though the other does sound suspicious we can’t leave Shissa out of the line up.”

“True, she did pull me to the side and invite me to a dinner party of sorts after the meeting yesterday. I had told her I would think about it.”

“Hmm…I remember you mentioning that.” Rissonik said. “That does sound like a set up. Didn’t she mention that you could bring a friend?”

“Yes. Hmm…” Naosha thought about it a moment, then a sly smile formed on her lips. “I’ll get Trazu to come with me.” She said.

“Why Traz…oooohhhh….” Rissonik at first didn’t see her line of thinking, but when he did smiled broadly. “That’s right…besides those in the Clan and the Seren’s, not many know Trazu is a Jedi.”

“What are you volunteering me for this time?” Trazu said as he entered the room, a faint frown on his face.

“Son, there’s a female Councilor that’s one of the Miknaks and we need to figure out which one it is.” Naosha explained. “Fortunately, one of them, Elder Councilor Shissa, invited me and a quest to a dinner party tonight and I decided my guest would be you.”

“Let me guess…you want to utilize my Force abilities to determine if Shissa is the traitor.” A nod. “What if the Miknak’s plan to use this party to knock off two Councilors?”

“Well, the traitor will likely know you are Jedi, so probably wouldn’t try anything if you came along since you’d ‘know’ it was about to happen. Not to mention she would probably try to stay away from you since you could blow her cover.”

“If she knew what I was, she’ll more likely try to act as ‘normal’ as possible: to stay away from me would arouse my suspicions.”

“Either way, you’d be able to detect her intent right?”

Trazu sighed. “That’s not really how the Force works mother and if she’s good enough I may not be able to sense anything suspicious from her without physical contact: I am not yet good enough to enter another’s mind without that physical link yet. It will also depend on how many other’s will be there. The more people there the more ‘interference’.”

“What about that ‘mist vision’ you told me about before?” Rissonik inquired.

Another sigh. “That would only really work if they have evil or malicious intentions in mind. If they are careful not to think it in my presence at best they would be a slightly darker ‘gray’ in the vision: not enough to condemn someone.”

“Still we need to give it a shot.” Naosha said. “I do not know how many other’s Shissa invited: it’s possible she invited the other female as well. I will find out when I call her to confirm that I’ll be going.”

While Naosha contacted Shissa Trazu filled Asri in on what was going on.

“Formal or casual?” The albino asked.

“Don’t know. I’m hoping for casual…but I have the feeling it’s ‘formal’.” Trazu said with a sigh.

“Oh…so I get to see you in a suit?” Asri teased.

“I pray not…” Trazu growled.

“Wish I could go with, but I don’t think my skin tone will go over well with the party goers. Besides…I have my first flying lesson tonight.”

“Not Lumier or Lavality I hope…” He had bad memories of Lavality’s flying and heard even worst about Lumiers…

“Ha, no love. Lavality got me in touch with an instructor in town.”

“Thank the goddess. Last thing we need is to have another crazy flyer.”

“Really love…they may be ‘crazy’ but they keep you alive.”

Just then Naosha returned from the comm. room. “We are in luck. It’s going to be a kind of ‘girls night out’ dinner party, so she had invited all the female Councilors.”

“She didn’t mind me coming along?” Trazu asked.

“Oh no. She’s been wanting to meet you Trazu. Goddess knows she’s seen plenty of Varcanna, with her being in line to take my seat some day.”

“Hmm…I wonder how likely it is that our traitor won’t show….”

“We’ll know when we get there.” Naosha said with a shrug. “Oh…I dug this out of our closet for you son.” When she held it out to him Trazu groaned and Asri broke out into laughter.

It was a suit.
