If there was more evidence, say, like a flock of angels coming for tea or something, I'd believe in God in an eyeblink. .
Everyone would believe if a flock of angels arrived for tea. The point is to be able to believe without having to see without having to see a miracle of that level.
And if I die and see that there is a God, and if God is all-knowing then he will surely judge us on our character and spirit of good and evil, and not wether we spent our lives worshiping him or not.
The Bible says that it doesn't work that way.

The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. Great book, you'll get a kick out of it. It's about an old devil writing his young nephew on how to be a good tempter.

Kas, if it doesn't work that way (I.E. God doesn't judge you on who you are, but whether you followed the bible's outlines or not) Then either the bible is wrong or god is a jerk, and if he is then no way I'd worship him, hell or no hell.

Your entrance to heaven is based solely upon one thing. Whether or not you acknowledged that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and came to die for your sins. If you acknowledge and believe that, you get to go to heaven. If you don't, you don't.
Entrance to heaven is not based upon works. It's not how holy you are, how many times you help an old lady across the street, how many governments you bring down without violence, how nicely you drove your car, or how many bank robberies you stopped. Can you imagine how it would it be if it was based upon works? What about the Hispanic single mother of thirteen children who has to work in a coal mine for thirty cents an hour thirteen hours a day nine days a week with no vacation hours or health care? How's she going to find time to get into heaven?!?!?
