Dolash still does that, but without the numbers. But he begins all of his posts with the words, "Except it didn't happen like that" which completley negates any storyline or the fun of doing the RP, which leads me to abandon the story completley, which leaves Dolash waiting for me to post.

Believe it or not, there was a TRF before you were here. Mergers happened before you, and not always for the noblest of reasons.

Actually I wasn't here for the Jutraalian Remnant merger or whatever but I've read of it. But yes I can imagine how people can abuse the merger rules.

GC and ORS wasn't really abuse of any rule. We didn't merge and take two decent groups and suddenly turn it into a crazy superpower.

Well no I was looking for what Ahnk thought of an example. But I think I can come up with something. Ten people start ten different factions, each one conquerors no more than 4 planets to avoid getting attack, then boom, super merger into a super faction with 40 planets and full fleet. That would be a big abuse of the rules.

I don't think anyone ever did that. But now that you mention it, excellent idea under the old rules. However some larger groups (or at least one in particular - TRE) did regularily try and force smaller groups into merging with the larger group.
