Raging Wookiee
I am watching ESB the whole way through right now, and after firstly noticing how GL messed up the music and overall sound of the movie, I then noticed a mistake they made....

In ESB when Luke is running out of the Wampa cave, you clearly hear the classic sound of a saber shutting off, but his stays on.... I guess when they redid the sabers they just colored in the stick and forgot that they'd had that sound effect in there.... it also just could be that my computer was uploading pretty heavily at that moment, and the sound was out of sync with the video which happens sometimes....

o well back to watching it.

You wonder why Boba wouldv'e had that accent . . .when he didnt really grow up around the other clones that much. I can't seem to attribute the accent to the genetics.

Where's the continuity?

Where's the beef?

Let the Wookiee win...
OS that effects-defect has always been there.

That only dissapoints me even more. How many decades has Lucas had to fix it? The technology is certainly at his disposal, and so is his willingness to make Star Wars "perfect"

So... he spends all his time making widely debated script and special effects changes, and they don't even fix that silly but quite annoying little imperfection?

You'd all probably bitch and moan if he did.

Just got my hands on a copy yesterday. Watched ANH last night, enjoyed it a lot, everything is very crisp with DVD.

I thought they were going to change the lightsabre special effects.

Well I wouldn't bitch and moan about it, though the 'bonk' in ANH always was funny and was quite popular actually... I mean, I don't think we're quite that eager to find any little thing to bitch about.

I mean, other changes made like the Emporer scene and Fett's voice are perfectly acceptible as well, and overall were quite well done. Though blech.... I still shudder to think of Hayden in ROTJ

heh, No Daemon, you can relax, its still there.

I just thought a lot of the changes were unnecessary , and in fact kinda made things worse. (like the ones I mentioned before).

Thats not to say I didn't like all of the changes.

Its cool to see extra Tie Interceptors flying about, and other planets, etc, I like all of that stuff.

Though I was watching Empire the other night and noticed the Matt lines were still there in some scenes, which I thought strange.

Odd that GL felt it necessary to change something like Boba Fett's voice, yet not decide to 'clean-up' those matt lines around those ships.

He managed to do so with the Rancor, and might I say it looks a lot better for it, (less dated, special effects-wise).
