The Rebel Faction

Just nod and smile then you've won the day.

Sometimes Daren really wished Luke, Leia, and all those other Republic forming hippies would just buzz off. Their diplomatic and political appeasals had done nothing but literally piss him off. Smile and nod, pah! It took more effort to smile than it did to fly an X-Wing in and out of the Death Star trench.

But...he maintaned. Then suddenly and out of nowhere he was grabbed by Raven and pulled away. Thank the Force!

As he spun with her he smiled...maybe they were going to dance. He looked up and down her dress and grinned. Of course...if they were going to dance it had better be slow...his current outfit didn't let him do any thing other than walk around really.

Tec grunted as he watched the two walk away.

Yeah, Raven. I may be talking to ya, but it's not likely. Being who you are, and who your boyfriend is....

Tec then turned and chuckled to himself until he reached the front doors, and then he walked out of them and went to the far side of the palace.

When he reached the end, he noticed a balcony about a story up, and he decided that would be a good place to stay for a part of the night. If anyone really wanted to talk to him, they wouldn't stop looking, and they would find him.

Opening himself to the Force, he bent his legs, moved the Force into them, and jumped. He grabbed onto the railing and pulled himself over, and landed gracefully on the balcony.

Sitting down on a chair he found there, he looked out into the sky and watched the stars. They were so bright, beautiful, and most of all, a way of life in one way or another.

"My name is John", he stuided the younger man, feeling the apprehension. "Calm yourself, there is no worry here, at least nothing to worry about from me. Besides, you young folks are looking ready to start a game of sabbac, and it is a time honored tradition not to start a fight at a gaming table, unless of course you are Correllian..."

He smiled at the younger man again, sipping his wine....

"All the people i would have gone to a party with are long since dead...I just came to see the Old place restored. And as for stealing my ship, she gets cranky if anyone without me comes aboard, and there are only a few things in the stars i don't like to see, and her cranky is one of them."

"As for Sabbac, it has been a very long time since i played, but i can try a few hands. It is good to see Jedi wandering about, i feared they had fallen, but it is a reassurance of the day of my youth that the Jedi still wander the stars."

John kept sipping his wine, watching everyone, his deep blue eyes studying all of them, taking them each in turn, as if memorizing each and every detail of their faces, the contours, the structure of the nose, every last minuted detail.

"Kid, i was here a very long time ago." He stared into the younger man's eyes, letting the roll of long years flow. Another tear rolled down his cheek, and he turned away slightly....eyes wandering....

"But that was, as i said, a very long time ago, and that which has been lost is lost forever."
