Bingo.

Okay.
Pulse shielding: I need to know what you want done about it. I mean, do you think it's not effective as he claimed, not effective at all, pragmatically unfeasable, etc...
The effectiveness of his boarding parties: Is he roleplaying their advance through the ship? Then roleplay trying to stop them. It's reasonable to assume that his boarding parties of ten might be down to 6 or 4 guys by now, but that they're making their way into the belly of your ship. Your arguement that you have an unbreachable position, Telan, is without weight. Those are breach teams; they know what to do. While they haven't disabled your ships yet, there is the distraction that, unchecked, they very well might.
Dolash; where did you intend to take the boarders, anyway?
As far as Telan shooting past Dolash to get to the planet... well, kinda, yeah. Dolash's points about range make it impossible for you to hit the planet intermingling with his forces. However, you have made a tactical counterance to try and keep his forces from regrouping behind, so a compromised position is in order for both fleets...
Dolash's fleet has reformed behind Telan's with light and medium cruiser only. The faster, more manueverable ships were quick and lithe enough to get the superior position afforded by Telan's charge. Telan's containment was effective and Dolash is trapped in his broadsides with heavy cruisers and battleship. A few medium cruisers stagger behind, taking a considerable beating from Telan's heavy cannons.
Acceptable losses: Left to you to determine based on how your fleets are now positioned. Telan has some serious trouble as he tried to contain Dolash's fleet with fighters, of which he won't have many left. Dolash was in Telan's broadsides for a bit and still has some ships trapped there, and feels the power of the Imperial guns. Telan, meanwhile, has given his back to Dolash, who though in a somewhat limited period, accepted the invition to begin working over his fleet. Manifest that into reasonable losses and that should just about cover it, I believe.

OS: In a world of bon-bons, you are a twinkie.
Ahnk: God damn you, I am Count Chocula and you know it.

Does your ruling take into consideration the extensive IC defenses aboard battleships - IE personal grav traps, laser gates, and the likewise trained Imperial Fleet Assault Corps?
So his lighter ships are behind me and now pummelling the rear Heavy Cruiser while his larger ships are trapped under my guns?

That's the general distribution. Of course, it's not an exact science... it's a messy manuever on both sides.
Telan: killing off forty to sixty percent of his elite level, species you've barely seen before with awesome powers with your notoriously inefficent, rediculously bad aiming troopers is more then fair, do you think not?

fuck that duck
Hey! After that last lawsuit we use only 100% pure semen for our Stromtrooper clones...
[size=1]"So the woman asked me what I wanted on the sandwich and I said I do not care it is for a duck, and she was like oh then it's free. I was not aware that ducks eat for free at Subway. It's like give me a chicken fajita sub, but don't worry about ringing it up, it is for a duck.”

A - we do not use clones for stormtroopers. B - I said FAC, not stormtroopers - the FAC are excellent shots to a man, one of their requirements for entry being such.
Very well.
Since when are my men inefficient? IF nothing else I have rped the Imperial Navy to be notirously efficicent.

Return of the King of the Cafe!
My internet has quite suddenly become compromised, so my ability to post is in question. I feel somewhat confident that I'll be able to post this afternoon - when I will reveal my secret weapon of DOOM! (*Chuckle*) I'll take into account everything Ahnk has said as an official ruling.

I dont remember a secret weapon coming into play...
Ahnk - one more question - I maintained that upon entering the system my ships reached flank speed - which for battleships is not very fast - I did not register them as stopping or slowing down throughout the course of the engagement. As such - am I still clear to commence firing on the planet?
