I like what's been proposed, but, just incase you folks forgot...We already know the general plot of ep3, as 90% of it has been rehashed in the Expanded Universe. And yes, Good ol' George has been known to do some silly things that clash with the Expanded Universe, but keep in mind...if it's out there, and it carries the Lucas Seal and the Star Wars TM, then Lucas himself approved it. Soooo...unless he wants to make enemies of all the expanded fans...we have a very good idea of the events of the next flick.
As for tossing over the age of Palpapuppy, that's just pure nonsense. He's old to begin with. In Ep one, I heard it put that he's around his late fifties or early sixties. Then Ep 2 is ten years later...so he's in his late sixties or early seventies...
Ep 3 is supposed to take place 5-10 years later, cover a pivotal period in the rise of the Empire, and the background of Vader, not Anakin. In which, Palpitation should, hypothetically be about 75.
No matter how you look at it Palpatine is old, and only vital because of the Dark Side.
When we first meet Yoda, he's old...even old for a little green man. (points to the case of Jedi Master Yaddle, a female little green person like Yoda)
So I say Windo vs Fett Jr.
All the other choices are too played out and common place...and Yoda vs Palpatine? Hello....Geriatric old fogies beating each other with their canes? Pffft.
