The Rebel Faction

The made their way to the middle of the colony. Where the apparent leader of this group stood. "So this is the master of vonta Horn. I have to say that I am honored to meet you although I wish it were under better circumstances." He gestured that they should take a seat. Several boxes served them for that end.

"I am one of them yes but," The master of the group looked perplexed for a moment as irman did not take all the credit for his padawans teaching, "...But that is a story for another time."

He nodded. "Yes introductions are in order here then. I am Sarcon Medeen. Corrantly the leader of our band of Teepo Palidins."

"I am Irman Nogar last of the Aiki order."

The Aiki nohgri looked surprised this time. "Teepos? I thought that the order was all but Extinct?"

Sarcon gave a laugh, "And I could have said the same for the Aiki order as far as I knew you were only a myth that never was any thing but a myth. And your companion. Is this your padawan as well?"

"No Padawan Kenshin is a member of the jedi order. A friend of Vontas. "

::One just as worried about her as I obviously.:: Irman thought as he saw the boy brooding over the current problems.

"Our order survived but was revived after the fall of the empire. Now were seek out the threats of the galaxy and face them head on. Although this one is a bit out of our league this time." He said with bitterness in his voice.

"Yes the krath." Irman wholy aggreed with him.

"Yes they seem to have had a revival of their own over the years. We came to stop them but ironically we may have given them the key to flourish again." The teepo master spoke.

"Yes, the Krath have the power to currupt even the good of heart. Possess them and add their power to their ranks.
"None that weild the force are safe from them."

" We must act and act soon to stop them." The teepo aggreed with him.

"Yes but first you rest. I am not sure what you did out their but I can see it takes alot out of you. Rest and then we rescue your padwan."

Vonta was caged in a dark room. They were trying to break her spirit. But she would not go lightly. They spent hours trying to turn her but she has managed to stay on the brink between the light and the dark for the longest time. That she refused to fall to another's power.

Now they were finished with the rest of the Teepos captured in the last raid. And they were focusing on taking her.

"Leave me alone."

Vonta shivers with that remark she wants to give in but her power and knowledge cannot be used to further the dark side. Her mission was to protect the light with knowledge.

That is what she well do.

What she must DO!!

But the struggle is too much...no these are not her thoughts.

The voice calls but in her own voice. :: Give up, easier, Give up....:;

"No. no.....................NEVER?!!!!" She cries out her sanity liying on the brink. Her screams of desperation are felt through out the force.

Irman had brooded over the events of the last few days long enough. After he slept his strength was replenished. He begain to make plans. As it was they could not stay here only abide their time in order to escape from such an invasive foe as the Krath.

"I am sorry to say that we cannot stay here. The Krath must have some for of space ships. Our one chance my be to steal one of theirs." Irman went on.

The leader of the Teepos looked contemplative as well. "WE came in in out mauraders. But the ships were damaged beyone repair with the exception of a few fighters and transports."

"Good we well need them. And I well need to use your communication platform if it is working." Irman asked.

"The ships are totally shot but we do have Master Horns X-wing in working order." He gestured to a X-wing in the middle of the camp. There was a R-5 unit arguing with several of the men.

"The droid keeps on going on about how it is going after her if we do not. I am not sure but I think that he has a piloting algaryme in his operating system." He sounded amazed. Or maybe it was appalled. Most droids did not have artificial inteligence to the degree that vonta sought in her droids.

Irman went over to the droid that was beeping noisely to the group of palidins trying to calm it. And not succeeding some were going to try and put a restraining bolt on him. The droid answered that with a drawn blaster set on stun shooting the sentient with the restraining bolt.

"Cypher! You sack of scrap iron! calm down!" Cypher made a squel and turned to see vonta's master. Last time they met he droped the droid on it's head to knock some sense into it. No the droid clamed up immediatly.

"Get in that fighter and contact the Saber Strike. Tell them that we need reinforcements to get us off this force forsacken hell hole." The droid was reluctant for a moment but beeped an affirmative.

"We can expect allys now. But we need to get into the Krath base and get my padawan out. Before they turn her." His voice was filled with a fatherly concern.

"I am sorry about your Student master Aiki. But It is too risky to send any more of us off to die."

"I under stand that but understand this. If we do not strike back at them first they well have a well organized counter strike here again that we well not be able to defend againest. I speak as a Nohgri warrior born. Do nothing and we well have no time to wait for reinforce ments." He finished with silence being his only answer.

"Good choose the best of your team and meet with me in an hour after I have taken not of all of our resources."

"Padawan Kenshin!!" He called to the young one.

"Yes." The Nohgri are short of stature but you would never know it with the prescence that this one exuded.

"We are preparing to move out in 2 hours You well join me as an advance scouting team for the main force that well follow after us." He stops a moment.

"This is going to be a battle of the force unlike any that has been seen in many decades. There is a likely hood that you may be killed." He took a stern look. "The Krath are a kind of force parasite. Able to infect other force users to bend them to their will and add their strength to their ranks. Already they have taken more then half of the original Teepo Palidins that arrived here. Swelling their ranks."

He looks about the Palidins are in a frantic rush to fill his orders. Ships are being repaired as best they can. Some are working on the under sides of two of the corrvettes. The Repulsors may still function if the repair work gos well.

"You may turn back at any time. This is my fight not yours."

::But I may well be going to my death this day. But I well not lose a pupil today. And not a promiseing one at that::

He gives him a nod. "We move out in a few hours in the mean time get some rest"

Nogar stands in the middle of a group of 10 men. Consisting of Kenshin him self and 8 more of the Teepos. The plan was set for a rescue he only hoped that he could manage it in time. "We head out on foot. Takeing only what we can carry."

The journey was going to take time that he did not think that they had. "Remember we are only the first wave. We need to stay alive to fufill the rest of the operation. Stay alive, and may the force be with us all."

The Aiki master was a man of peace but he was also a Nohgri born, breed, and raised in that warrior tradition in his early years. As they set out on a pace through the desolate waste lands that lead to the enemy fortress he became more wraith then solid body. One would wonder if his feet ever touched the ground with as little noise as he made. The land that they covered was strung with the bodys of dismembered droids from previous raids on the Teepo strong hold.

Hot air and arid climate made for dangerous travel at day. The heat would have been a continuous enemy. But now they travel with the cover of night. masking them from the enemy up to the very gates. Of the enemy fortress. The Building was built right into the side of a mesa. That they had to get into.
