Ky-Vin suddenly became serious. "Oh yes indeed, I believe very much that the Force has a Will, in a manner of speaking."
He thought about how he should explain his thoughts on the matter.
"We know that the Force and all living things are connected, and that the Force cannot exist without life. I've come to the conclusion that the Will of the Force is the collective will of every living thing in the galaxy."
Ky-Vin paused, considered something, then continued: Since most every living thing desires to exist, and we all depend on each other, there has to be a harmony, a balance of opposing forces. If there wasn't, I think life would fall apart. So, I think the Will of the Force is to keep everything in balance."

Ky-Vin shrugged.
"I guess it's just a theory of sorts. There are still plenty of details that fit, and questions that I don't have answers for yet. Perhaps I never will."

He gave Kenshin a questioning glance, "Surely you must sometimes feel the Will of the Force?"

Kenshin nodded in agreement at Ky-Vin's thought. Then he thought about Ky-Vin's question.

"Hmm...I've noticed it a few times conciously. I'm sure it probably influenced me more than that, but I was probably preoccupied."

Ky-Vin smiled knowlingly. "Yes. I wonder how many times I've done something with realizing that the Force was guiding me. Sometimes I wonder just how much freedom we have in fulfilling our destinys."
His thoughts wandered off for a moment or two.

By now it had gotten later and night had completely fallen. The only light came from their lantern and the two moons that hung in space high overhead.
The wind had picked up as well, and to the two Jedi's surprise it created a sort of murmured whistling noises as it swept through the canyons, outcroppings, and rock formations. After a while, it sounded kind of soothing, like some kind of exotic wind instrument.

The two Jedi listened to it for an hour or so, while they rested and meditated about the day. Then, Ky-Vin got up and decided to go to sleep for the night. He went to turn off the lantern and get into his sleeping bag.

They could talk about it in the morning.

Kenshin gazed up at the night sky of Ambria. Two bright moons loomed down at him and dark clouds rolled by, carried by the wind. He wasn't used to sleeping in unknown places and this place was definitely new.

But whether he was tired after a day's excerize or the soothing music of the wind blowing though the canyon, he did manage to drift off.

It was the middle of the night, and both Jedi were sleeping.

Ky-Vin opened one eye. Something had disturbed him. What was that sound. He heard it again. A low rumbling from somewhere overhead. And again. He thought it must be thunder, a strom brewing somewhere. Somewhere near.

He closed his eye and tried to go back to sleep.

Kenshin opened a weary eye as he heard a rumble from overhead. He glanced upward at the night sky expecting to see big masses of clouds foreshadowing a storm.

He saw clouds all right, but what eluded him was that they weren't the kinds that preluded a storm.

Kenshin drifted back to sleep again.

The rumbling grew louder. And louder. Then there was a loud *THUDD* and the ground seemed to shake a little. It happened again, harder, with more shaking.

Ky-Vin woke up suddenly and got up. "What's going on??" he murmured to himself, looking around.

Kenshin jerked up, awakened by the loud thud. He quickly scanned their surroundings and noted everything as best as he could in the dark.

"I don't know..." Kenshin answered in another murmur.

Another loud THUDD and the ground shook again. Rocks and other debris were rolling down the canyon wall. A large crack was forming in the side of the canyon behind their little campsite.

Ky-Vin leapt out of his sleeping bag and grabbed up his pack. Then, as the canyon wall seemed to be collapsing, he started backing away.
When he opened himself up to the Force, he was nearly bowled over by the surge of dark side energies he felt.

"Whatever it is, it must know we're here," Ky-Vin shouted to Kenshin, and then he drew his lightsaber.
