Top floor would be my pad. Nothing completely ridiculous.. big screen with every video game system ever made and every game out. Computer nothing fancy.
Make one floor would be carpeted with turf and have yard lines marked off for football. One of the floors would have Sport Court from wall to wall for a Roller Hockey arena, and another into a wood floor basketball court.
I'd have one floor with a massive LAN network for Quake, UT, StarCraft, WarCraft you get the picture.
Another floor would have several big screen TVs lined in front of a theater type stadium seating setup, so I can watch all of the football games on Sunday simultaneously. No need for TiVo!!!
And a big "NO KRAKERS ALLOWED" sign out front.

It would be in a city where it was always raining, first of all. The walls facing the city would be sheer glass so I could look out and watch the rain beading on the window pane, every minute of every day. The apartment would be one loft room with high ceilings, undecorated, painted white, hardwood floors.
Inside would be a simple sound system and a collection of every contemporary rock record by a group I judge worthy, as well as recordings of the old greats (meaning classic composers, not Led Zepplin, idiots). The sound system woudl be nothing made in the last ten years. Nothing huge or cumbersome or excessively loud.
Several typewriters would be present. No computers.
Included as well would be a collection of vintage guitars, acoustic and electric. Several pianos as well, and a Macintosh computer with only sound editing and synth systems uploaded. Fine sounding instruments, mind you, not these modern headbanger distortion monstrosities.
A bookshelf would be necessary, with everything from Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire to the Vonnegut novels. No internet access of course, so a compendium of classic historic and philosophical literature would be necessary.
Invited would be the great thinkers of every age. Socrates, Aristotle -- notice how I skipped Plato -- Nietzche, etc. All of the great artists and writers. From Picasso to Claude Monet, to Vonnegut Philip K. Dick (personal favourite, highly underrated due to the stigma of his genre), to Mozart, to Thom Yorke and Matthew Good.
It would essentially equate to an around the clock creation and debate of philosophy and art.

I would also invite Denny Weaver, Salvor Hardin, and other well-known pacifists. So that when people like kraken gave me trouble, i could just call down all of them and then we'd circle him and prove him wrong.

Gash, that is so cool. But don't you think the window-thing would be a little eery (I know I spelt that wrong)? And one big room, with a big window, wouldn't it make privacy an issue?
