Asri crept her way along the wall of the Arena, looking for signs of the intruder. This was a bit more difficult then normal due to the intruder being cloaked, but there are ways. One would think sight would be near useless in this case, but not so if you knew what to look for: not just the tell tale shimmer of the cloaking device, but tracks. One thing these guys no doubt didn’t count on was the majority of the grounds having a dirt floor.
Still, there were a lot of tracks on the ground from normal day to day activities, so Asri had to look for the freshest tracks and ones that seemed to end in thin air. She spotted one such track: the prints were very fresh and just seemed to end. Asri watched them for a moment and her patience paid off: a new print appeared out no where.
With a savage grin she crept toward the cloaked figure, one hand stooping down to scoop up some dust. Predictably the assassin noticed it had someone behind it and she could see the prints smudge as he turned around: that’s when she threw the dust. The dust hit and revealed a faint outline of the upper part of the man’s body, as a bonus some if it got into his eyes and he was temporarily blinded. Without further hesitation Asri sprung at him, colliding with the assailant and sending them both tumbling to the ground. She didn’t have her
K’Zur on, but she didn’t need them to kill. She found and used the man’s one blade to kill him.
Meanwhile Trazu felt a bit disappointed in himself that Asri killed the first one. He was tracking the one by the barracks, but he wasn’t sure he could stay in mist vision and still actually hit something with his saber. His normal vision and tracking skills told him he was on the intruders trail and the Force showed him he wasn’t far away. In fact, the bastard had looped around and was trying to get behind him.
Idiot. He thought.
But I’ll play this game…
He pretended to be confused, using the Force to track the assassin’s progress. The moment the assassin was close enough he spin around, his saber flashing to life, cutting the man’s chest open. “Did you honestly believe you could sneak up on a Jedi?” Trazu asked the man as he lay dying on the ground. “Idiot.” He put the man out of his misery with a quick jab through his heart.
In the manor Varcanna was sitting in the play room, where most of the kids were playing normally. Trissan as usual was getting rebellious.
“Why is the window closed?” He asked. “It’s stuffy.”
“It’s not safe to open them right now.” Varcanna replied as patiently as she could: this was the
fifth time he asked.
“But I want it open….” Trissan whined.
“You can’t have it open.” Varcanna said sternly.
Asri how do you do it? She thought to herself. For some strange reason Trissan behaved like an angel around Asri. She felt a cool breeze on her back and cursed to herself when she realized what had happened: while she was distracted Trissan had opened the window.
“That feels better.” Trissan said.
“Trissan! I told you not to open the window!” Varcanna growled as she got up and slammed the window closed again. Thing is, it didn’t close all the way and there was a yelp of pain. Before her eyes someone uncloaked: the ‘poor’ man’s hands were trapped between the window and the sill. “Oh, looky what we got here.” Varcanna said with a grin. “I’ll think I’ll leave you hanging around for a bit no?” She turned toward Trissan. “
That’s why I told you not to open the window." She said to him sternly.
“Oh….” Trissan said sheepishly.
