Apparently the sound of the coins caught the other man's attention, and his wrath. With a quick motion he threw a blade at Tobal as well, and began to follow it up with a running slash with his sabre. The vibroblade flew swiftly toward its target, its humming blade threatening death.
The force enhances all senses, and bodily functions. One of the more basic functions is often christened as "force reflexes", meaning the unnatural quickness of a force sensitive being. Often what was contributed to being a reflex powered by the Force was simply something that came with the rigorous training and conditioning a Jedi went through. And other times, it truly was the Force.
Tobal had been raised in a society that relied upon natural quickness to survive; the Force was taboo to them, a sign of evil. Dodging an arrow meant a longer life; rolling with an expected blow or ducking an ax meant you lived another day. With a minute motion, moving no more than needed, the Tribal adjusted his head and allowed the vibroblade to fly harmlessly by. He heard it clatter to the pavement many meters behind him, its mission unsuccessful.
As the other man approached, following his thrown blade, Tobal opened himself to the Force. He allowed himself a microsecond to adjust; it was different with the Force flowing through you than when you simply tapped it occasionally. Time seemed to slow down, and Tobal's mind moved into melee combat mode. Before him, a charging man carrying a very deadly, and very unique weapon. "Shadows" of this man seemed to appear around him, mirror images of him and his weapon. They were what could happen, over a period of time each incorrect image would vanish, and the enemy would move to fill the last remaining ghosting. In one image the enemy was striking up, one he was striking low, in another duplication he spun and kicked instead of struck, in another he leapt over Tobal's head and tried to strike from behind. As microseconds passed, the mirror images vanished until only two remained: a blow to the legs, and a blow to the chest. The man chose the chest move, for the blow to the legs vanished from Tobal's sight.
As the Dark being swung at him in a cautious, testing way, Tobal allowed the Force to increase the speed of his movements slightly. Letting his legs drop out from under him, the Shadow fell to the pavement in a crouch as the humming lightsabre of his opponent flashing over his head in a blur. He continued the motion through, sliding to the side and letting his minute momentum carry him into a standing position. Turning, he looked back at the other man, and clinked the coins in his hand again.
