Remember, Ion cannon fire splashes over a ship when it strikes it. Considering the volume of ion fire, I think it would be safe to assume that much was done. Plus, ion cannon fire affecting bridge systems, would disrupt the navigators controls over the engine systems.

Now It's my turn to yell BS. My ships have been at a dead stop for quite some time, still 25,000 kilometers from the nearest defenses. That puts your mines some 24,990 kilometers out of range, hmmm? And remember, unlike your nuked SSD, my ships actually have engines, and navigation systems. Sorry, but this BS wont work.
