The Rebel Faction

Irman Walk among the battle field with out all that much of an effort. The diminutive Nohgri covered the ground with a speed that belied his size. A seeming light saber apparatise at his side he weaved his way amoung the droids.

There was a figure ahead. Perhaps one of the dwellers of that small fortress that they had erected. He felt the force energys from this one. No he was not of the same art as the force users up ahead. He estimated the number of force users to be around 2 hundered. This one that stands be fore him reminds him of vontas force signature when she first came to him out of the Jedi academy with only the powers of the jedi order at her disposal.

"Jedi Padawan." He addressed him. "How did you come to be here..." He shakes his head there are more pressing matters at hand.

"Do not answer that We can talk on the way to that camp in the distance. I am Knight Irman Nogar of the Aiki order." HE started at the same pace again. Setting a urgency to his speed.

"Time enough for that later padawan. I applaud your courage for coming but this mya be over your head. Come there is much to do." The two reached the edge of the encampment to be welcomed by a hall of laser fire.

Irman activated his light-bo the device was basically a hard light light saber. The two ends forming a long blunt bo staff rather then a cutting blade. The blasts come in quick succession Never in his life had he had this much trouble block laser fire. It was as if the users were useing the force to predict his counter moves.

"Take cover kid!" Irman cries. He gets in front of him blocking the bolts long enough for the two to run for cover behind a mound of droids.

The blaster fire keeps coming though and they are too far away to let them know that they are not enemys.

"Well looks like You are going to get the chance to test your mettle after all." He leans on his light-bo a moment for balance. "I well run out and draw their fire. While I do so I want you to get past their defenses and tell them that we are freinds."

He expects a padawan to listen so the Knight moves out runing in one direction drawing all of the fire. He Jumps in mid air. Blocking a barrage of fire with his lightbo staff and then absorbing the next dozen or so shots with his bare hands.

The He takes up his light bo again but blocks from a kneeling position. BLocking ths shots with one arm and touching the ground with the other. He focuses his energy into the ground. Chargeing the particles of dust and droids for at leats ten meters around him. They all glow blue for a moment.

The shots keep comeing and then the ground explodes from underneath him. Creating a cloud of choking smoke and debree. The shots keep comeing with a eerie accuracy though their attentions are now fully on Irman.

The world was nothing but dark.

No light no stars just darkness. Nothing below her feet but nothing over her head either. This was the force but there was some thing perverted about it. The darkness seemed to be almost alive around her. A head of her she sees a light.

"Gooooo tttooo it chillld. There....you well be free." A voice spoke. She looks about but sees no one.

"The light is warm....safe.....seek it out...," She feels cold as if the force had left her. What ever it is has a effect on her. Walking towards the light she finds that she can feel the force the closer that she gets to the dim light. It is the force but......not right. This is not the force as she knows it.

She knows the dark side and the light but this is niether of them. "Commee to the llliiiight." The voice beckons.

"No!" She cries out. "I know do not know what you are but you are not some thing I want a part of!"

There was silence. And then the light turned to a eerie green glow. "Fiiine.....then if you well not come.....Then be Taken!!!"

Out of the light came a dragon like snake the eyes glowed with a bright yellow. The gaping mouth seeking to encompasss her.

At the last minute she felt it. Her connection to the force. CAlling on Aiki force powers the erects a aura sheild of force energy. The mouth tries to close over it but with a last effort she expands the field out hitting the snake away.

"Never!!!!" She awoke with her eyes wide in fright from the nightmare. She tried to sit up only to find that she was chained to a steel table. "What?" There was a preist type man in a robe chanting infront of her while holding a talisman over her head. The man seemed taken aback that she woke up.

"Guards she's awake!! Guards." The man took several steps backwards.

The chains jiggled as vonta resisted them. She felt weak but not to weak. With a bit of effort she managed to phase shift on hand through her wrist bond and then the other. leaving her legs. She tried again but failed. Aiki traits were easier to use anyway. Empoering a hand she smashed the chains on both of the ankle braces freeing her.

Two more guard. Carriing light sabers came at her. The red sabers ignited should have given her puase but they did not. She went at them head on. Parrying one blade to the side while delivering a kick to the head of the second. The first one spun around to try and cut her done but she was in his strike zone. She grabed the hilt of the saber turned his wrist backwards breaking it in the process. A temple strike brought him to the ground.

She looked about the room. There were more tables with more preists with talismens chanting. "Miss Horn." She turned and saw three of the men that she had made the commando raid on the hover carrier with.

Before she could answer he through her to the ground with a violent force push. She was about to retaliate when she saw 3 more of her team whereing krath colors through her back to on to a table with telekenisis. "No!!!"

"Do not worry Vonta. The Krath give you power beyond imagination. Just let them have you it well be less painful." The man that spoke is one of the Teepo masters that had accompanied her.

"Never, I do not know how you did it but you well not take me you here me! I well never forsake the light!!" She tried to move but could not new restraints were attached to her.

"We well have you Halcyon. Just as the krath have had all those before you." His dispicable laughter was the last thing that she saw as she went under again Back into the world of dark with the Eerie green light. The light that wants her soul.

Kenshin saw Knight Irman's head drop with a heavy heart. He stood with a confused look on his face. He didn't know who these people around them were and what kind of danger Vonta was in. He didn't know why she was here and what the battle was about.

He turned and followed the guards back to the fortress with a heavy step, his head slightly down in confused thought.
