Watched the gamblers quietly, eyes slowing moving back and forth across all of them, seeing the good natured jibes flowing freely and easily among the three of them. He moved further away from them, still working along the outskirts of the crowd, remembering the last time he had been in this building, remembering the last festival he attended.
It had been a long time ago, before his last flight into the unknown, before he had went off exploring on some damn fool quest. Now the men who had sent him on that quest were long gone, as were the rest of his friends. A single tear traced its way down his cheek, losing itself in his short grey beard. His blue eyes adjusted, and he continued to study everyone, slowly sipping his wine.
