Jai cringed as she saw the doors open...that wasn't a good sign. She should have known better.

It was time for a new plan of attack. Raktus obviously knew she was here, because lifts didn't open on thier own. Jai lost her defensive stance and strode cooly down the hall. She stopped and looked both ways, picking to go right. It proved a good choice as it deposited her right into the main lobby of IDTech. Yes, it did seem odd for her to come out of the door marked "Staff Only", but the receptionist was too much of a ditz to give it a second thought.

"May I help you, Ma'am."

Jai flashed a cool Solo grin as she strolled over to the desk, "That you can. I would like to see Heir Raktus or his bitc..ahem...or the lovely Miss Terolyn. And as soon as possible..."

<font color=blue>"She's at the main reception, two levels up from your current possition."

Terolyn turned on her heals and started back the way she came. She had guessed Jaina wouldn't take the lift, but hadn't expected her to just walk up to the front desk. Those Solo's always did what wasn't expected.

" I'm on my way. I'm sure he knows, but let Raktus know where she's at. I'll be there shortly."

Jai couldn't help but roll her eyes at the display. Was this suppose to intimidate her? She was done playing commando, it was time to act responsible...if not for her own sake, but for Rogan's...and especially the baby's.

She took a deep breath and strode into the lift. It whirred it's doors closed and started ascending...Jai just hoped her doom didn't await here at the end of the ride...

<font color=blue> The lift that Terolyn entered from the detention level started to rise about the same moment Jaina's started going back up after Raktus' fun.

" You'll get to the penthouse a minute after Solo, Ma'am."

" Good, patch me through to his office. I want to hear everything that goes on in there until I arrive. Once the connection is made, obseve comm silence."

There was a pause then the answer came.

" Connection in ten seconds Ma'am, will be in comm silence immediately following."

She could hear the faint click in her ear piece as the transmission changed. Impatiently, she rode the lift to the top.

Jai grabbed at the walls of the lift as it started falling, but the slick durasteel panels gave no solace. She toppled to the floor as it slammed to a stop and layed there a moment when it started to rise agian.

"Not till after I kick you off the edge, you heartless scum."

Jai didn't know if she was going to hurl or pass out. As if the sensation of dropping and riseing 100 stories wasnt bad enough, he had to go and be a smart arse.
