Telan your saying America should be blowing away citizens for speaking out in public or don't be there at all?
And no a WW2 example is not apt, that was a period of WORLD WAR, WAR being the key term. Things happen differently during times of war, and especially that war. Think of all the germanican, gaul, and romans that besieged those lands for centuries, dying by the thousands. Not to mention, that it was the Europeans mostly at fault for native deaths here, their conquests destroyed most of the eastern seaboard population decades before the colonies broke away from Britain.

What you've got Telan is a good ole' fashion conspiracy theory. I can say all day that the Pentagon wasn't hit by a plane on 9/11, but its just a theory, there is no hard-proof. There is even less proof in what you claim.

Sadly, it is not. As I said, I am the minority. The spirit of Germany has been ripped from the beating hearts of my people. They are the shreds from the table of the conquerors, the soul of conquest victory and glory long since having left the rotting body of Prussian supremacy.
I am an example, one of a frew hundred at best. There was a time when to protest was to admit cowardice, now such choatic and anarchsitic activities are as rampant there as they are here. The people have lost their respect for authority and gained a brash self-righteousness that America popularized - Germans were once obedient and now question what they are told to do; worse still, they aren't told to do much.
I think my views on control of the public are well known so I will not comment on that. I did not say Germany was trying to protect itself - I plainly said our goal is to conquer. But we stated so plainly, we did not hide behind security or any such ridiculous notions. If America had a shred of an idea how to conquer their prices for gas would not be so high and their economy in debt - they now control the taps to the oil basin of the world yet they are not used. Greed, so common the the US, has infected Germany as well.

America is in debt because of the war itself, not because of gas.
And there is more than plenty of undrilled oil in Alaska, we are just unable to bypass environmental extremists.

I understand that - - what I am saying is why has the United States not used this oil resource to finance the war? Taxes would drop, petrol costs would drop, and they would have an excess to refund their propoganda rebuilding of the country they devastated. Why has that not happened???

Considering that is a direct insult to myself, I won't say what I feel, but I will say this: this is not a war that American, German or any other army on earth could "manage". That is because it is not a war against a country, it's a war against an ideals. Civilians, not soldiers, civilians (women, children, and men) are taking guns, bombs, grenades, and anything else they can arm themselves with against our soldiers to kill and maim us anyway they can. It is borne of a hatred for what America represents. And blame it on American as you will, what Germany represents as well.
Edit, Before this degenerates into an arguement, I want to apologize if that felt insulting. That is not my intention, but it is insult to say American soldiers are incompetent.

Telan, I understand somewhat of where you're coming from. Of a pride in one's tradition and who they are. As you know I've been researching my family's genealogy and have learned the role that my ancestors had in forming Germany. I myself am a proud royalist who respects the past trials and tribulations the crown has endured, and of how even today some of the Royals continue to try and embrace what they were. I know that Prince Henry would do nothing in Iraq, but even the attempt to go is something to be proud of in today's world of hands-off wars.
But I admit it is the past. The days of British Kings orchestrating conquest, and guiding an Empire has passed. That is why it is my heritage, not my present circumstance.
Telan, you speak of Germany remembering itself as a conqueror. Now, I may be wrong, but I get the interpretation that you want Germany to be retake what it was and become warriors again. That is a well and good goal, but I only have one thing to say...

That you are so unwilling to accept the chains of conquest on yourself but are gladly willing to let others feel the suffering you have. You may say that Germany has forgotten itself, but perhaps it is merely that the Germans have decided that the time of conquerors has past and it is time to embrace a new role?
