The two Correlian gunships, The Droid X squadron of 12 Droid X-wing fighters, two B-wings, a squad of defenders and Vonta in her regular fighter proceded to tha tplanet to investigat the anomalous readings. There was some sort of a ship there that she know for sure. There were two many readings there with no proof from what.
The fighters were in the lead.
"Emerald 1 to all fighters," Naming her designation as mission leaded. "We do not know what to expect so be on guard" After a chorus of affirmatives they procede to enter the atmosphere.
The ships make a strait B-line for the emigmic area.
closeing in on it it looked normal. but as they got closer they saw the problem the ground looked fake as if some one had impose a rough design of the land as it should look from space. Creating the illusion that there is nothing there.
8 Head hunters appeared as if out of now where and came out fireing. All of the fighters were taken slightly off guard. The B-wings registered with a drop in shields. and three of the droid fighter pilots report carbon scoreing or a downed shield.
With years of practice in combate vonta was the only one that managed a instinctive shot at the enemy craft. cuting the wing off of one of them sending the Z-95 plummeting to the ground "Defenders you can handle these, gunships assist but hold position expect more company soon."
Vonta the droid X squad and the 2 b-wings cross the illusionary barrier. It shimmers around them as they pass through. On the other side is a launch pad with 2 trans ports readying to launch. " droid flight 1 eliminate the cloak in field. Flight two go ground side and engage. flight 3 and B-wings on me." the group heads straight for the tranports. Fireing at them with quad lasers from the ships defense. "Target engines with proton torps Ion cannons, everything." A barrage of laser fire torpedos and ion blasts hit the two ships. many of the shots missed die to dodgeing fire at the same time. But the shield came down on one of the ships.
Droid X flight 2 landed. Droping their battle droid cargo of two per fighter. The fighters switched to rupulsers becomeing heavely armed attack speeders. The droids took positions on the closed S-foils grabing a grip on the wings. The for fighters then proceded to mow down anti- air craft weapons aimed at fighters. As they sent out infantry the battle droids picked them off with there blasters. There was not much on the ground at that moment that could punch through fighter shields.
As Vonta was about to make a 2nd pass the cloak went down as it lost power it flowed back to its source into non existence. On this pass they disabled the 1st craft but the 2nd managed to stay unharmed. It took off from the pad heading a way at full speed. Unfortunitly the gunships were faster. catching up to it. They gave the ship fare warning but they still resisted. Forceing the Gunships to open fire. The transport went in a grandly large explosion that could not be missed from space.
She sighs, "Droid X squadron take care of clean up down there." The rest of the squad joined flight 2 ground side. with a assault team of 12 humans 24 battle droids and 12 droid x wings with 36 spy eye droids covering the area the area was quickly under control.
