And the bears couldnt run because all of the bears passes were short routes and they didnt threaten down the field so the colts didnt need to worry about not bring 8 up in the box.

And the offensive line wasn't blocking for shit. Stop blaming Rex for everything, it's not ALL his fault.

I'm not saying its all his. I'm just saying that a lot of those passes were absolute shit even when he had time.

Back with a Vengeance
Marth isn't the only Colts fan that got his wish. :D

Mother nature should probably have been voted MVP.

I feel the only area the Bears really did good on was special teams.

That's because it was the only area they did well in. Except for the fumbled kickoff... Anyways, Rex is young for an NFL QB and being in the big game. Add in more pressure from the press/fans and you have a recipe for disaster. He would be a better quarterback if people didn't jump down his throat all the time.

Not What He Seems
Quarterbacks in the NFL are being paid tremendous sums of money. You do not pay a man millions of dollars to fumbled a center exchange twice!!! The replays showed perfect snaps, and Rex just failed to handle them.

His reads were shit. With the exception of a few tosses over the middle, he seemed to drop back, scream PUNT and lob the ball in the general vicinity of his wide recievers- an ok strategy for sandlot football, but pathetic considering he is supposed to be a starter for an NFL team.

As for the Bears D-

Statistically they had a sub-par game. However, when you consider the fact that they only game up 22 points (subtracting the 7 scored by Indy's D) against the league's premier offense, it wasn't too shabby.

They played against a short field constantly, and gave up one long drive. If you look at the stats, the colts four scoring drives after the first TD were all shorter than 62 yards. They managed to force Indy to kick field goals, which kept the game close enough for the Bears to have a chance (which Rex then proceeded to waste.)

The COLTS RAN like, 80 or so plays... and the Bears Offense could only stay on the field for about half that many. With their backs against the wall, and devoid of any help, the Bears D played very well.

And yes, you can blame Rex.

His offensive line didn't force him to throw either of his INTs (or any of the several other near picks). He didn't fumbled after being blindsided either. His performance was pathetic.

Remember You Must Die
It was pouring rain and the Colts had missed snaps too. Rex had a great season for a rookie starter.

What Circe said. I stick by Rex and I'm never going to stop. He's good.
