Aside from my above edit, where did you mention the jamming taking place? I haven't seen it, nor have you replied to the first time I asked it.

Return of the King of the Cafe!
I must support Corise on this point. Jamming is not an easy business, and tends to become noticed in this galaxy rather quickly. Doing something in the name of fine writing is fine when only one person is involved, but once more than one person with perhaps conflicting interests or desires are involved, then it becomes a matter of reason and common sense.

It doesn't seem likely to me that you could starve an area into submission fast enough for no one to notice, especially considering the quantity of technology available to the galaxy and especially on trade routes as important as the Hydian. Consider how much trouble the Trade Federation had in blocking in one world, and multiply that to the vastness of a spacelane that's experienced the flow of commerce for several millenia.

You can make a case for this, Kach, but fine writing doesn't always work. As a roleplaying site, we all agree that participation and involvment is just as important as a good story, yes?

TNO's Finest
Well, it's not a major issue as the "jamming" noted in Kach's thread (I thought I had seen it but I will check again later) would really be for the system then instead of the Sector. I don't think you can jam a sector. When I thought sector, I am thinking "single solar system".

By the time anyone really does anything about perceived jamming, loss of comms, or flare from Agamar's sun or (gasp) Invasion!!!!, the takeover will be done anyway.

Then, people may react as Corise has rp'd them anyway as charaters interpret this event right or wrong (Empire/True Empire/Trade Federation/Kashan insurgent/mickey mouse).

I'm in agreement with Omnae.

Besides, it's all in thename of writing, and the actually jamming is only going to last three days to a week tops.

It's all in the name of fine writing.

I find it amusing, Kach that you can so vehemently make a case against a fellow member here, at TRF, but can never make a supporting point for such examples as quoted above. I'll admit, you have a flare for the dramatic and a style all your own... both of which are readily enjoyed by many TRF'er. However; you and I both know that 'fine writing' has suffered on multiple fronts recently, suffered due to this silly dash to grab up the last free portions of the galaxy.

So, please, particularly in a situation like this; don't claim that it's all about writing the best story possible because, as any literate person can see, what this is really about is expansion at a maddening rate.

As a final note along this line; Kach if you are, in fact, going to claim that it is indeed about the quality of the story then it would behoove you to support these bold strokes in your story and not through OOC arguments. No one expects every story told by every member to be an Omnae-scale tapestry woven from a myriad perspective and encompassing everything from the mundane to the minute but then again... It's hard to miss a plot hole the size of a Mac Truck.

Good luck.

Either way, the jamming hasn't been put up yet, and it's not so much as sector wide, but over two rather populous and importnant planets.

*shrugs*

If the jamming isn't up yet, you've given the Agamarians time to communicate their situation to the rest of the sector, and consequently, the rest of the galaxy. With the lack of proof to support the effective jamming and only a sole supporting member for it, I will not be editting my writing unless the staff directs me to.

Don't matter. They'd think it's just the EMpire anyway. They'd have no way to know it's a rogue faction.

Blink If You Can Hear Me
I love to take a shit in your cornflakes, but Agamar already has the five thousand words required and has been taken over by the Cree'Ar vav The Breaking, volume one.

As I informed you months ago, Kach.

No you did not. Agamar was not on my list at the time. Otherwise, however, your story checks out, and so my thread will be suitibly edited. It's been pointed out I need to take the whole sector anyway, so it's fine.
