Tick...
Tock...
Tick...
Tock..
goes the clock...
Perrin had left Darth Snack and the robed figure in haste, taking a rare pleasure at the uninterrupted haste with which he employed to reach the city of Theed.
Or at least the outskirts of it.
His teacher, Malice, had taught him to use his emotions to channel his powers..which in principle he knew, but it was Malice that forced him to evaluate which emotion would work on him.
Desire...
He stretched out his awareness and found a rising level of anxiety...growing... evolving...atempting to pull a pattern out of the whispers of the wind..
Civilians were on the move.... but the Jedi were few in number...and Theed was a large city..
Did the Jedi feel they were safe putting their "temple" in the heart of the city's population?
Perrin watched as civilians were coming back into the city...and walked out among them..
He laughed out loud startling some..
Fools. Do they not realize their disadvantage?
He ignited his black blade and swung it around slicing a passerby's head open.
Sreams were suddenly heard and people began to run away in panic.
Having placed himself in the middle of the crowd, those behind him began to run faster towards the city while those in front of him (as he faced them, his back to the city) turned and ran away from Theed.
Several tried to put a brave front up by holding some sort of weapons but Perrin knelt down and picked up a piece of the fallen head.
Throwing it towards those "brave" souls, he felt their resolve crumble.
The Jedi were stupid. By setting their presence in the heart of the city, it became a constant reminder of what powers the Jedi possessed and what powers the people did not.
Perrin smiled.
After a while, a person begins to unconsciously fear that power...
Using superior ability, he ran after a few and began swinging his blade..
The fear was palatable and Perrin hungered.
He suddenly stopped his action, tried a simple masking technique and moved off to another group of houses several miles out, in the outskirts of Theed...
The perception of anxiety grew to a frenzied level and Perrin knew something had begun...
Many will die before this day is over...
