Germanys OK because it's unimportant? They're the most important/developed/populous/economically strong (dunno a word for that) country in Europe.

If you are talking about the best all-around country, that's reasonable. I would agrue tthat the United Kingdom is fairly comparable if not better in some aspects.

militarily, maybe... but they have a navy, germany doesn't really.

Plus, Germany has better scenery.

Germany boasts the best military record of any modern nation. They probably also rate as the country having the most advanced air force as well as technology in general in WW2. They also had a strong economy, and they had a good powerful fleet in WW1.

But who can forget Lichtenstein? It is the only country ever to boast a One Man Army. (Totally true). Though they had kept a militia amidst them, only one man was ever actually conscripted into their army. He died in the 1900's I believe.

I disagree with Germany being the most important country in Europe just because Tony and dubya are tight and being tight with the US is fun. Also disagree with industrially advanced part because you have to take into account the fact that half the country was part of the Eastern Bloc and thus lagging far behind the West before the fall of the Berlin Wall. That being said I think comparing various countries as to which ones better is dumb.

And I'm of the opinion that Canada has the best military record. Every war we were in we kicked some ass.

I would have to disagree with your there Marth. Although we've had a few embarrasing wars America was the country that ended two World Wars and bankrupted the Soviet Union in the Cold War.

And we were also the first country to throw off the reigns of British control and become independent. As I recall, Canada decided to remain Britian's bitch until Britian decided it no longer wanted a freeloading whore country hogging it's resources.
