Magnum.. wow.. that's going back a ways. Higgy-baby. I liked that show. I would watch that and some other short-lived series called Simon & Simon on Thursdays.

Agreed. Very impressive resume.
As for typecasting; I'd have to say that, like many actors, he helped craft his image. It carried over into a number of other roles.
