Smalltalk, mmmm... I'd also heard that ezBoard's database was actually just flatfiles. Which would be why they never got a search function working.

I don't have a link to the thread, but I do remember one of the ezBoard support people mentioning flat files when (yet another) thread popped up about the lack of any sort of Search feature.
