You are if you think your post matters. The only posts that mean anything in this thread are mine and Dolash's. The rest are just waste of time.

Perhaps...but the obvious fact that the majority of the posters in this thread disagree with your methods, doesn't that put a little bit of doubt into your line of thinking?

Plus, just because something has been done one way a zillion times doesn't mean it's the right way. Especially considering this board has people from different areas of the world and have different personallities. You may have gotten away with this with other people in the past, perhaps even with Dolash before, but this situation I think just about anyone would have a tizzy over. Why?

Cause you're basically infecting an entire planet full of billions of people and not giving the defender a chance to prevent it or effect the outcome (going by what you are saying in this thread, you don't seem very keen on allowing Dolash to defend himself at all from your attack). THAT, my friend, is godmodding, which is be a bannable offense on other boards for multiple offenses.

You already stated that you didn't want to be called a goddmodder and I understand that, but if you had done this to me...

Across incredable distances, they closed the gap between themselves and the world itself. Long before they ever reached weapons range of the defense fleet, they spun apart, breaking into first two groups of two missles, and then each individual missle following its own flight plan.

I would have demanded that everything after this paragraph be editted out, non debatable. The only way I would allowed the last three paragraphs in that post is if I had previously consented to such damage 'before' the post was posted. We are not allowed to kill or seriously harm a character without consent of the ower of that character. In this case...the 'character' is a whole planet...and Dolash obviously didn't consent.

Certainly a very clear statement from Slaskia. Your post basically took the missiles from the time of their arrival to the time of impact. Now, I can generally overlook some things - say if it was just one tiny ship trying to sneak someone on to the planet, maybe we thought it was a trade vessel, or something like that. When it's four super death weapons, I expect a chance to react. They don't move instantaneously from the edge of the system to contact with the atmosphere, right?

If you disagree with the shooting down of the missiles because you feel we didn't bring enough firepower to bear, I admit, I glossed over that a bit because the four missiles would otherwise just hit the shield anyways, and I thought it'd be better to show Yakabe trying to bring down that (gasp!) last missile by himself, the panic of failure, and the relief of rescue.

Admittedly, of the planets you've fired missiles at, Teth is one of the few (haven't checked the list yet) which would probably sport such a network. On other worlds, I'll have to rely on weapons, wit, and more civilian forms of disease control.

Considering they emerged from hyperspace 6km away from you, its not as though you had so much advanced warning. Time of arrival to time of impact could be considered some 30 seconds to 1 minute. Not an overtly long perious od time, and in fleet situations, the average amount of time happening IC per post is nearly 2 minutes. So I dont feel Ive overstretched my time boundries.

I did feel I may have overstated my actions though, not giving you time to respond. I had thought we would discuss the post OVER AIM, AS WE HAD BEEN DOING FOR ALL OTHER THREADS in order to make sure all posts ran smoothly, inconsistencies edited out, and all posts made agreeable by both parties.

Is this really so bad, Heir? Admittedly slower, but at least here we have more time to think things over and come to a decision, weigh all sides of an issue, and have the discussion viewed by other members of the community.

I'm not willing to remove the fighter thing, because technically it doesn't matter if they could scramble that fast or not. The missiles would splatter on to the shields. The fighter thing I think is just a nifty litttle improvement to the story of the post and doesn't really influence the overall outcome.
