Did you ever consider, Kraken, that some people are unable to buy and read the book yet? Or, perhaps, they've had more important things than buying it the moment, or month, the book comes out?

Maybe you could edit your post to include a spoiler warning. Just in case.

First off....Mr. Kracken...I don't buy hardcover books, meaning I wait to buy the paperback books. Why? Because paperbacks are cheaper and chances are I will only read the damn thing once in my entire life. It is extremely rare for me to read a book more then once. In fact...Grahmn (sp) Edwards 'Dragon Charm' was the only book I have ever read more then once so far.

Second. I was working through an already completed trilogy in the Forgotten Realms genre and wanted to finish that first.

Third. I am not always in the mood to read. In fact the only time I usually do read is when I am 'waiting' for something, like when I am waiting for my meal at a resturant.

So there you have it. Now STFU about it.

Then comes to the fan books.
The hoards and hoards of fan books.

And don't forget the fan sites, the fan factions (the Harry faction), The fan roleplays, and the fan fiction. It'll be like star wars, except starwars had a better and deeper storyline.

On an intresting note, in china, they have no copywrite laws, so there's like 50 Harry Potter books and nobody's sure which are the real ones.

So thanks, Kach - you killed David Carradine!

"What? What? Where are the nipples?" enters Seth Vinda.

"NIF. But I will find them! I am god like that." Kach Thorton speaks up.

they do have copywrite laws, the fact that its so large and that its nearly impossible to stop counterfit goods from being made is the main problem. and it also goes into places like the Phillipines, Taiwan, and Japan. Mainly because the poor stay poor so they need to make money. try going to one or two of those places, i know i have. they had starwars before it came out in theater. you have to see them to know why they do what they do.

Well there ya have it. And I wish I could edit it SilusI forgot the password to that account, and the password retrieval information isn't working, and I'm not about to drive all the way back to Orlando to my sister's computer just to edit that post.

Well, one last point of clarification. I wasn't trying to specifically spoil anyone on this board, I was just pointing out a huge bit of BS on the part of our local newspaper. I would have thought everyone who was really dedicated to Harry Potter would have read the book by now. My mistake.

Which is understandable, Kraken. It is some time after the book was released, so I can see how easy it would be to assume everyone has read the book. At least next we should be able to remember not to make the same mistake. Maybe. :p

Could one of the Admins edit it, maybe?

OR, Kraken could call his sister and tell her to do it.
