I tried to read Lovecraft. Usually I was able to predict the big surprise ending within the first page of the story.

I can be reached at LawnGnome103 (AIM). In case any of you want to hear constant complaints about work, life and weather.

I've never read Lovecraft. One of these days, maybe I'll bother. As for Tolkien...

Anyone who has heard the "I am fish" story know why I try to avoid him now.

Lovecraft can be a bit of a bore at some points, but I love his work. And as for Tolkien Movies > Books. The fanboys will argue that the movies left out a bunch of shit, but the books just take waaaay to long to get their points across.

Same here. I started on WoT. My sister said I had to read Tolkien, but I was bored out of my skull with LotR. Never got beyond a third of the way through.

I can be caught on: Roguish Cajun (Yes, an X-men reference)

And Damalis was referring to Call of Cthulu. An incredibly fun tabletop game. Your characters go insane if you're not careful

And that's the catch 101... ultimately the more you learn and understand, the higher your insanity becomes until your character goes insane; you can't stop it, it will happen to your character no matter what. ;)
