Well, with the Jedi and Sith, you have the minority of the more powerful of the Force Senstive. My impression of the Jedi Corps is that they're taking even the weakly Force Sensitive and using them. Therefore, unlike before when only the minority of Sith were exploiting the Force, it's now a LOT more. Remember, the Sith would cull their own numbers to keep themselves in check.

Jedi = Attempt to follow the will of the force
Sith = Somewhat care, for their own benefit, but have a generally (except for lately) low numbers
Jedi Corps = Large number trying to use the Force for the Empire, not caring for the actual state of the Force

At least that's my impression and my two cents. And I agree with Demo in that I don't feel entirely changing the Force. Yes, for this RP, I've no problem with things go weird. But a long term change would be changing some of the more base things of Star Wars. Changing the Canon isn't something I like to do...
