The K’Satizitus had just jumped back to one side of the ‘ring’, in part to catch his breath and to mock the Jedi, when a sudden intense pain assaulted his side. Beside himself, he clutched his side gasping in pain that he hadn’t known for thousands of years. Was this something the Jedi before him did? As more pain assaulted his form, he quickly realized it wasn’t the Jedi, but something much more dire. Around them the whirling Force tornado suddenly ceased, the debris that was within it’s walls flying various distances in the last direction it had been going.
The puzzlement on the Jedi’s face was rather evident as the spirit flailed, writhing in pain he could not mentally block. His lightsaber had fallen from his hands, it’s red blade winking from existence the moment it hit the ground, but before the Jedi could think of snatching it away from him he too had fallen to the ground, but on top of the saber. There he screamed in agony as the pain moved to each part of his body, save his head.
It can’t be… He thought, his borrowed body now severely weakened from the spiritual attack on the spirit itself. Could they have…. It was the only explanation he could think of: someone had figured out the key to the continued influence of the spirit and now it feared the last part of that key was in danger. He muttered something in the ancient dialect of Dosh, the only one present that could understand it was Silonik, whom was close by.
The pain having passed and some of his strength returned, he rose to his feet, his lightsaber back in his hand. But instead of engaging the Jedi once again he put the saber back on his belt. “I’m afraid I must take a rain check on all this….” He said, almost apologetically. “But something far more important has come up…toodles.”
Before the Jedi could react, he ran off in a Force run, leaving cloud of dust behind him.
Silonik, glad the monster was gone, finally came out of hiding and limped toward his Master. He was in pain, but fortunately most of his injuries were minor and he was able to ignore the pain. “Master.” He said, hugging her leg in relief. “Dad’s in there….somewhere. He told me to be strong.”
