I'm sorry, but Halo and Halo 2 are both highly overrated. Halo 2 is a nice game but its nothing special. Halo sucked, it was too easy to be "good" at. I picked it up and after 10 minutes i was beating people who had been playing for a month. It wasn't challanging at all.
^ Yes, the game wasn't all that challenging, but is any game like Quake, or Unreal made to be difficult? No, they're just simple run around shoot-them-ups. Those games usually get good ratings for their fun factor.

Funny I found it boring...... being godlike on games isnt really fun all the time. Like CS addicts me because im still a newb, but one day I will become godlike at it and will get bored of it.

Halo is a good consol game. If you're a PC user there's nothing new there at all, we've seen it all, and had it all for years previous. But for a consol, which usually doesn't get many decent shooters, it's OK.
I'd still rather play UT2k4 over LAN though.

Just got it, fucking cool. I love the fact you get to play as the arbiter as well.
I'm up to the second arbiter level, the one where you have to get the key thingy to activate the second Halo. Mad shit, but i fuckin hate fighting the flood with covenant weapons...

I think it gets its good ratings in the fact that its the only decent fps for xbox. PS2 doesnt get into them 2 much outside of 007s and classics such as that. PS2 usually goes with tps, racing, rpgs, ect. Gamecube focuses on classic multiplayers and younger audiences. So basically I believe its high credit is due to lack of competition. But you are definately right, pc fps just makes halo and halo 2 null. Always been a big fan of fps. I beat Doom when I was 7 and Doom 2 when I was 8. When I was 12 I got a sweet gift from my friends and received Doom 2: Masterquests which I gave up on because it is the most difficult fps in existance! Anywayz enuff nostalgia lol.
Shotgun seemed weaker too...in the second one.
