Here is some criticism for you,
I belive that there might be a race more advanced and far along than the human race; who, like the Vulcans from Star Trek and Azgaurd from Stargate SG-1, let the planets they found develop and expand thier culture, intelligence, and technology on thier own.
So, I say this:
It might be possilbe to have a race that is far more advanced than the humans, they may even be a more evolved version of humans. And this race, wouldn't be to close to the Sol System which explains why, even after the humans get space born, have never been seen.
If you can make sense of that...
