What killed me is that I had built 8 Gencore II's which come to a total of: 20,000m
Suffice to say, I nearly choked on my Earl Grey.

I mean, really! I've been here over two years, and I've never known that we had to count these toward our meter limit / ship limit (when it was that)
And I think I win in the 'who went over the limit most' part. I'm half a million meters over, unless by some chance I miscalculated.

EVERYTHING counts against meterage. It has been in the rules since Gash and Hyfe drafted them. It was complained about at the time because it made fighters and ground support, as well as stations and things of the like, much more valuable and thus more expensive.
