Well okay, you can vote for Bush, but if I go to war it's on your head.

I love the Planets Suite, and in particular, Mars 'Bringer of war' , such a great piece of music.
In fact I wrote most of CoC with that playing in the background. Best piece of music to listen to when reading it, in fact best piece of music to listen to for any epic space battle, I think, heh.
I thought that was great Kyric, from now on, whenever I see you post I shall have that music ringing in my ears, heh.
Have any plans to 'get into' music?
Perhaps we should get someone to a theme for TRF, heh.

My "plans" to get into music go as far as playing in a marching and pep band in college. That's about it.

Seth, I was tell Lei about this last night, but have you notcied that John Williams used the ostinato at the end of Mars before the Death Star blew up in ANH?

And did you notice how John Williams totally ripped off one of Stravinsky's lines in the Jaws theme? ... At least I think it was Stravinsky could have been Tchaikovsky.

Actually I was talking about this with a friend the other day.
When you listen to 'Mars' and then listen to the Imperial March , I'm sure its not unreasonable to see similarities.
I totally see what you're saying Dogman, I've never actually sat down and seen that before, but now you mention it, most definately.
I'd be interested to know which composer you think it is Kyric.

When you listen to mars, then the opening sequence of A new Hope, there are several striking similarities.

If you haven't picked up on it, John Williams, along with many other modern day composers generally ripoff already written works... basically arranging to the extreme.

Lord Admiral
In case you've been wondering, which you haven't, and I just feel like bragging, I've been working on two peices for marching and pep band.

Composer / tyrant all in one. And angry, yes, permanently angry.
